cuz the other guy joined the race. Henry was the one holding the ball therefore he was considered "active" and Carlos was "passive". Watch closely and u'll notice that the space between them remain the same before the other guy joined in. As soon as the other guy came in Carlos reduced his speed(look at his arms! he stopped swinging his arms and quickly moved in the box ) because it's stupid for 2 defenders to stay in 1 spot
