  • the part where they hooped and hollered in the chapel was very inspirational to me :)

  • Is this community a 'Charity Community' ?

  • Awesome The Great Awakening has begun a Sovereign move of Almighty God

  • The most liberal Amish sect I have ever seen, and I live in Pa. I'm not sure there is a god but it is really nice seeing these folks worshipping as intensely as this. Thanks for a great vid. :)

  • You falling stray.

get back to the holy traditions.

  • this is a beautiful video. thanks.

  • This video has really touched my heart, I am so happy to see how God is moving among the Amish. He truly has brought freedom and liberty.

  • If anyone knows how I can come to know this kind of order of Amish please let me know. Many Amish where I live only speak German in church. I would like to know if there are this type of Amish near me in Cincinnati, Ohio Tami

  • @Beautysblush You should drive up to northern Indiana, the Shipshewana town is full of brilliant Amish and Mennonite people

  • I live a couple miles from the Amish in Libby. They are great people, and one of the men talking in here about the jail ministry is a dear friend of mine. These people love the Lord, and in the past the Amish have been held by chains that now have been broken here in Libby. Its awesome to see what God is doing here!

  • I think it is better to be Amish than being like most of us teenagers these days. We have absolutely no boundaries and do what we want when we want. I don't agree with some of the stuff but it's a lot better to be brought up like that than it is to be brought up like some of us have. I envy them in some ways.

  • I'm not too far from the amish

  • I have known these people for probably ten years or so. I attended their church for awhile, and I worked at their store.

They used to be very strict Amish in their dress and ways. But they have gotten free in the last few years, and now they will drive cars, and such things that the old order Amish don't do.

Let me tell you though, they are very nice people. You can look at the outward all you want, but it's the heart that counts. And I can assure you, these people have very good hearts.

  • I see love...tenderness of heart....growing freedom...which we all so desperately need. Healing of our hearts, families, communities, nation and the world...what a wonderful video clip of lives and hearts being awakened.

Looking past the externals and knowing someone by their spirit. These precious people are full of light.

  • How come there is a plastic bottle with the Amish guy at 2:41?

  • I've been to this community and would say that they are Amish. They have been liberated and are using technology but trust me, they still posses the same value's of character. The families are filled with life and the leadership has openness to go wherever God leads them.

  • They are not Amish !

  • @TWiLiGHtFANpIReS14 What a fool. Christians don't "wish hell" on anybody.

  • It blows my mind how many ignorant people call Americans low lives, and Christians as hypocrites. Not all are like that.

  • Amazing, SelmaMiami! who is hateful?

  • This is the Old Order Amish archeles heel.... The evangelicals. These are Amish people who have been converted to an evangelical preaching

  • I am very moved by what God is doing amongst, and through, the Amish. Tears of joy.

  • the only thing that makes these people amish is they grew up that way. they are not part of the old order amish, they are their own thing. as i look at these comments it is just as ignorant to make fun of these people as it is to make fun of black, spanish and any other culture. if they aren't bothering you, then let people do what they want. i don't agree with their style or probably anything else but they they have the right to live a desired culture, dumb comments are just that, dumb

  • Broadfall, I totally agree. Another this is, if the Amish had lived in almost any other country, they would have been mowed down centuries ago. One of the cool things about America is all the diverse people.

It's just that so many Americans don't appreciate the incredible diversity in their own country. They don't even know anything about other countries.

For example, it's a surprise to most people when I talk about French pop music. Most Americans don't know French people sing in French!

  • This is interesting but the one thing i do not understand about the Amish is this neccesity to look rediculous. The beards with not moustache for starters, and the haircuts that look like they were done with a butter knife. And the woman... yikes!!! Why do they all look look like they just got out of prison.

There is a misconception that being a christian and looking good don't go together. But there is nothing in christianity that says 'do not dress nicely or groom yourself properly."

  • Do you think the Son of God had a beard? Are you going to judge him as 'ridiculous' looking too? The founders of the United States probably would have looked 'ridiculous' to you also, but you see it fit to live in the wake of their lifes work. Why don't you grow up and stop judging people by what they look like and look a little deeper. I am not Amish and know very little about them but I find them interesting and am thankful they stick to what they believe in.

  • Your comment does not address what I stated at all. If fact your comment sounds identical to what high school students say. Either way, having a bad hair cut is still a bad hair cut. There is nothing in chrisianity that says you must look bad. And there is a difference between a nice looking beard and a rediculous one.

  • Comment removed

  • Jasoneric, you made your post to me them removed it. Why? In response let me say this. You are confusing Christianity with the strange American version of it, where somehow God is an American and Jesus dresses in robes with a beard and long hair and sandles. Do you really thinkg the Son of God dresses in 2000 year old cloth? I dont' know if he has a beard or not. In fact I'm sure the God is nothing like the American version. If he created the Universe, that makes him unimaginalbe in our mind

  • @BarneyFlart There is nothing in the Bible to say that having what we would consider a "bad haircut" is a bad thing either! I see many people (Christian, Amish, Atheist, Agnostic - you name it) that dress or look badly (at least in my eyes). However, the Amish people believe in a simple life which is why they don't really care about their haircuts or beards, etc. What I find absolutely amazing about this video is that these people are so free and loving. The world needs more people like that!

  • Wow! This was powerful! Thanks for

    posting this!

    Beautiful people and beautiful countryside!

  • you are different amish then the ones in and around Vevay,Indiana

  • This is definetly not Old Order Amish that you will find in Pennsylvania and Ohio. Interesting.

  • i'll work circles around you.

  • i love that the anoiting is sooo sterong

  • I had thought the only Anabaptists in Montana were Hutterites. I fellowshipped with a somewhat similar group in Sweet Home Oregon in the 70's. An outreach of the Mennonite General Conference, it had an Assemblies of God preacher, some Old Order Mennonites, Baptists and a great number of redeemed hippies. It was eclectic, dynamic, at times schizmatic and very non traditional. But I would say it adhered to most original Anabaptist principles except for occasional wrestling over military service.

  • Interesting video. I'm sorry, but there is no way these people are Amish, even if they claim to be. Their practices are not Amish, period. They may be a charismatic mennonite group, which is far more likely. Or they could be related to the apostolic pentecostal church. I'd be interested to know more.

  • I'm sorry, but you have no idea what you're talking about---but doesn't seem to slow you down now does it? The Amish come in many cuts and colors just like them thar real folks do. There are hundreds of Amish orders throughout the US ranging in super conservative Schwartztruber Amish which do not even believe in riding bicycles to the ultra liberal Beachy Amish which will drive cars and go to graduate school. But then you know that, didn't you???

  • The Amish originated with Jacob Ahman in the Palatinate. Not much space here, but I would suggest researching Anabaptists and one variety, the Amish. I would expect the definition of Amish would be tied to what was before 1800. They decided after that to not participate in the Industrial Revolution. These folk are obviosly what many outsiders would today consider Amish, but doctrinally they are not much different from those of 200 years ago.

  • some of these Libby amish are related to me.they were amish, and still are somewhat maybe, but they have become somewhat charismatic.they are definitely not your old orders anymore

  • These people do not seem to be typical amish. I think that they are more of a Pentecostal group. Not everyone is dressed plain. Not all of the women are in dresses, and most of the people that are in the meeting house is dressed English. And the proselytizing is very "non-Amish" as well. THe services that I have been exposed too, are quite calmer, more humble, and didn't have electric music.

obrian136..This is in no way trying to be disrespectful to you or your family.

  • i take no direspect from that although i think its funny that you wanna tell me who or what they are when its not only the culture i was raised in but these people in the video are my blood relatives so trust me i know what i am saying...your right about them not being typical amish, they used to be no different than other amish comunities,in the past ten years they have become whats known as new order amish, they have become more focused on the gospel instead of man made traditions.....

  • if you still dont believe me i'll get you a phone number, you can call their little country general store called FARM TO MARKET COUNTRY STORE,or the log home company called MOUNTAIN MEADOW LOG HOMES...just sayin i do know wat i'm talkin about here :)

  • that will not be needed. I never stated that you didn;t know what you were saying, or that these people are family. Just that, for the lay person, the people in the video do not seem to be TYPICAL AMISH PEOPLE. As in Plain people. I too have family in the amish faith so I have a bit of a clue.

  • let me explain...the Lord has worked in the heat of these Libby amish, and enlightened them with Truth,so they are no longer very intent on being amish.they have come to believe the great commission, which is why they evangelize

  • In response to those who say these people are not amish,im sorry yourn wrong ,they are amish,i was born and raised amish and lived it until i was 29 yrs old,the old couple sittin in the yard @ 5:31 in the vid are my aunt and uncle Ora and Orpha Miller, the guy in the purple button up is Lloyd their son

  • These are not Amish... These are Pentecostal folks.... They can dress similar to the Amish and call themselves Amish but they are NOT Amish..

Clearly, if you listen to them they are wanting the REAL AMISH people to convert to their self declared "Amish"...whatever...

  • My friend went to their church in MT and he said it was awesome. God bless them.

  • Wow I have never seen Chairsmatic/Pentecostal Amish

  • Awesome! I can't wait to worship with those guys!

  • Are these New Order Amish? I ask because of the proselytizing going on.

  • This particular group seems more Pentecostal in worship, preaching and prayer methods. The Amish I have been exposed to are quiet in their worship.

  • they are so nice, I loved going to the amish store because that old lady was always so smiley =]]

  • when i lived in libby mt i got arrested for an m.i.p (minor in possesion of alcohol) and when i was sitting in the county jail i would always look forward to when the amish guys would come down and talk with us cause they were always nice and treated us with respect unlike the jailers.

  • The Fruit of the Holy Spirit is evident in Ray Hughes. Thanks for bringing God's blessing upon us on the Northwest of the USA.

  • God Bless you Ray
