I watched it on opening day, and I have to say you ar right that it does fit, but now the only problem I have wit the music is the scene with te Comedian being buried...uh, "The Sound of Silence"? THAT didn't fit well for me at all. The song was about how the U.S. changed into a quiet and depressed time due to the Kennedy assassination. It had NOTHING to do with this scene, and it just didn't fit. Everything else, perfect. I love Watchmen.

What the hell is this slow-moving hard-landing "back up he's scary" hulk shit? In the comic he has an' S&M looking mask and threatens folks w/rubber bullets while shooting at them. The screenplay writer has replaced functional human actions w/vapid drama that looks silly.

the funk surprised me, but it works. the acting, the music, make this scene feel like its was made during the depicted era. Dans voice is spot on to what i thought, when reading watchmen. keep in mind watchmen is a satire.

The music fits perfectly in this scene. The casting for the comedian wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. And for the record, the slow motion enhances an otherwise normal action. It makes small stunts look big. Thas y Snyder put it in ther.

I'm not a homo, I just didn't like the scene. That's fine if you disagree with me, I don't really care. The slow-mo just kind of ruined the scene for me, and I still feel like this character was miscast. That's just my own personal opinion.

I think everyone is a little too afraid of slow mo for this. I guess after 300 its expected, but theres nothing wrong with a little slow motion, especially not 3 seconds as a man jumps to the ground.

If this wasnt Zack Snyder, I dont think anyone would mind.

I would mind regardless of the director, I'm not picking on Zack Snyder. I've only seen one of his films, Dawn of the Dead, and I loved it. I just don't feel like slow-motion is necessary unless they're showing super speed that simply cannot be captured on regular film, like dodging bullets. It annoys me when they throw it in on spots that don't need it.

As for this character, I always pictured his voice more gruff and raspy. That's why I felt like he was a miscast.

I disagree completely!! It sounds like youv'e read watchmen so.. What I thought was this whole thing so far has been perfect.. they capture the mood of Watchmen perfectly!!! They casted wonderfully too.. thats just how he is in the book.. The part of him jumping down is just epic.. it would have been less meaningful if he had just jumped down.. I think they're going for epic here =P
