I was there as well, there were not many races at Calder (very few infact) that ran the normal circuit with the dome. Great event, great driver, l may have shared a part of that fence with you on that day. Small world ah.
PB is (was) a National Treasure. I remember the week after bathurst 87 out at calder park when the combined the 'Dome' (Melbournes PROPER Dome lol)...pissing down. Me up against the chain fence inside dome at the corner where you come off the normal curcuit...PB all crossed up in the VL. Next time around he gave me the thumbs up.
