Off the map was shot 2001. There was a reason why join left the band and got all fucked from drugs for give years. He lacked confidence to function as a human being. Sure voices inside his head told him to quit, but he could just barley spoke to Anthony. He smoked pot 24/7 the entire bssm-recording era for example. If you ask me I think he is right where he wants to be atm :)

Look at Off The Map, he was an animal, and that was right after he joined.

He's definitely just as confident today as he was back then, maybe even more.

He's more confident in himself then as the band as a whole, which is how he probably felt when during BSSM
