This song is about the "online experience", myspace, etc, etc, and getting all wrapped up and lost in it. "..a meta grotto...", haha, great line. Malkmus is an interesting and beautiful artist that has persevered through an era of relative artistic apathy. I think this is why he had to branch off from Pavement after that had run it's magnificent race.

I don't know these songs. After a decade of watching and listening to Pavement, I've just recently started relistening to SM. I don't know about him being the best guitarist, but it's nice to see him relaxed and having fun. Having a kid has chilled him out.
