@totyfotos basically the same thing just no vert grip on the d700. now if you had said D3S! i would totally agree. that thing is a low light monster!!! i can only afford the d90 :( lol still a great camera though!!!
I could submit a portfolio of 12 pics max of 'art photography' but they'd be sub par, theres no way i can afford to buy a decent camera (my last one was a hybrid Lumix G1 - not a good camera).

Any free advice for an 18 year old student?.. Lol thanks for your time btw
Thanks for showing! Im really have a passion for photography although my dream is to be an actor, in July im moving to London to go to uni to study acting. Currently iv had all my stuff stolen.. Including my camera and laptop containing all my photos.
Hi wooziewrangler the gear if I am flying and have to take a load of stuff then the peli case will have the non essentials such as spare battery's, lighting gear, video and sound stuff and maybe a few lenses that I know I can live with out. But I will always take in my camera bag the essentials which would be two bodys and lenses covering 14 up to 200mm and a flash so that if I arrive at a location and my peli does not arrive I will always be able to do a decent job.
Thanks for sharing. On travel, what do you consign to the Pelican Case and what gets the "Can't live without" carry on treatment and is it more a matter of bulk/weight, value (i.e. theft) or minimum essential to get the job done? I went for a Crumpler Karachi Outpost to haul my preciouseseseseses, but do wonder what to do once I graduate to multiple bodies, more glass and strobist idolatry.
Hi Scrivphoto, unfortunately i am freelance so all this gear is owned and also paid for by my self, if i was a staffer like some of my colleges then you would have all your gear paid for.
thetramsession, the straps are made by op/techUSA they are designed so that you can run with the cameras on your shoulder due to them being elastic on the top
Cheers for the comment. I switched to Nikon because I used to have the Canon Mark III's and was never happy with the focusing on them. When the Mark IV came out the price for them were astronomical!! At that time Nikon were offering press photographers in London an amazing deal to switch to D3's like for like for a very minimal fee compared to me parting with £9000 on new Mark IV's
But I have played with the Mark IV and they seems very impressive it was more of a cost issue really.
can you do an update? :D D4 possibly?

Don't keep the bipods together like that. If you lose one AGAIN, you have another in your closet or where ever.
