I am a simple woman. I have watched several episodes with several more to go. The one thing that bothers me is how poorly Ruth is treated. Why do her children treat her so bad? She seems to care for each of them and does for them but all she ever gets back is eye rolling, grins behind her back and overt rudeness. What did she do to deserve any of this?

From the year 2000-2001 I was undergoing chemo for lymphoma. The 1st round of chemo therapy did not work, and I had to go a step further with harsher treatment. This show came at the right time for me. It gave me strength rather than discomfort. Needless to say, it is in full remission, but the therapy was one I shall never forget.

This intro always gave me the creeps as a kid. Mind you I went from watching Pokemon in 2000 to watching Six Feet Under in 2001. It gave me such a vivid view and great fear of death and would keep me awake at night trying to do everything I loved to do the most just in case the next day was my last...and it would just be so ironic I'd be watching this intro again after the death of my grandfather...brings back all those old fears I had

@LiinkFreek I disagree with your first part, I feel it captures the eeriness of the dead and the unusual process of embalmment along with a kind of daily nothing out of the usual sense to it, which seems like something one may experience as a person that works at the morgue.

I just realised something. This was the last show which I saw virtually every week. I missed perhaps 1-2 episodes a season. I no longer watch TV - at all. Not even five minutes. This, this was the final show I ever watched.
