I agree lots of folk play great slide and jinn does too! The passion and enthusiasm John plays with is incredible live and I go to his gigs every opportunity I get! Johns guitar is a 12 string he only uses and 11 strings and he doesn't play open tunings. Ed

Dave Mathews did this on the guitar like a thousand years ago....he is also singing like Eddie Vedder did a million years ago. This is super cheesy...get with the times. This reminds me of Melissa Ethbridge. Like seriously ...modern music has sailed beyond this outdated horizon. If you like this you are living in the early 90's.

Get your finger on the pulse. There a zillion people who can play slide like this. I find it completely unoriginal and extremely boring. Look harder people.

John Butler is definitely incredible, Rory gallagher has a totally different style, but they meet to the point where they both are able to mix technic and great melody. BTW i didn't knew Rory Gallagher (shame on me) and he's absolutely phantastic! Thank you a thousand time for allowing me to discover such a great artist ^^

This guy is incredible. I saw him for the first time at the Big Day Out in Perth in '02 and he blew my mind, just saw him again in San Francisco and the Trio is better than ever. I aspire to play like this someday!
