  • I apologise for any incorrect information in the video. I created this for a friend after reading about cornsnakes online. I actually studied Marine Biology at university; so this "retard" as you bluntly put it is just not a specialist in snakes. There is also many

conflicting studies that suggest they don't raise their temperature to digest food but you didn't point this one out. I unfortunately don't have the original working files for this video or I would change it.

  • Heat pits and saying they dislocate their jaw. Who is this retard?

  • Snakes dont dislocate their jaw their low jaw is split in two and move independently only loosely connected by elastic tissue.

  • Boring fucker

  • WTF why is that pinkie BLACK?! isnt it supposed to be pink? hence the PINKY?LOL

  • When will my corn snake start to "coil" around its food???

  • @simplybusby Well it really only does if it thinks it needs to as in if its feeding on pinkys it probably wont until larger

  • unfortunately, corn snakes do not have heat pits, and no snakes have inner ears.

  • BOOBIES!!!

  • i feed my corn snake frozen dead mice if i put in a live mouce would he no to constict it

  • @bilzyboy Most likely he still will constict

  • NO SHIT!

  • snakes are the reason we aren't over infested with rodents. Unless you wish we had something like the plague again thank the snakes. Also, pre-killed mice are better for two main reasons at least. Snakes less often bite their owners and others when feeding off F/T and also so that the snake doesn't get harmed. Feeding live rodents can endanger your pet snakes. They could fight back and kill the snake or struggle in the body of the snake and create a messy scene :P

  • Love your brittish accent. :D

  • my corn snake, about 24 inches long or so never constricts its prey, just usually bites down and starts to eat it without killing it, because of this i had to give him pre-killed mice, any tips?

  • buy your mice live, and before you put it in the cage, crush its skull. Not to be evil or anything, but one, the mouse isnt alive, and the blood entices it to the point that it would never turn down food

  • thx jrock, ill try this

  • @JRock90210 OMG DUDE WTF THATS SO INHUMANE!

  • @JRock90210 thanks, thats a great idea!

  • That mouse was already DEAD :L

  • You english make me laught!.

On the other hand if you are showing how corn snakes constrict, you should feed alive mice! or at least show the constricting part, not the stone! Ignacio from Argentina.

  • Feeding live is not good for the mice. U should consider the mice as much as your snake. They are animals too and can feel pain.

  • I retract from my previous words, all opinions, in spite of that now i read my text before, and i realize there were not good words, sorry, only good things man, thanks for your response, Ignacio Arg.

  • Hi bamf64, general corn snake size as adult is about, 1,4m - 1,6m, 4 o 5 foots. I breed them in (plastics recipients) like tuppers you know, 0.9mx0.4m i think it`s ok. Or if u want you can get a bigger tank and decorate it as u want, but i thnk 0.9x0.4 it`s enought, i hope i helped you. ignacio. arg.

  • thts 1 big #

    snake

  • there cute

  • Corn snakes don't have heat pits...

  • what kind of corn is that??

  • Excuse me, what age do corn snakes begin to constrict

  • they can constrict as early as there ready. which can be a few weeks old. my 3 month old is alredy constricting.

  • I alway breed mices owner mine feeding geckos and corn snake alive mice than frozen mice because frozen mices make me bored I love to watch attack alive mice

  • hey if i got a baby Classic, 100% het Stripe, Anery, Hypo & 50% het Amel, Caramel

Male corn how much money would it cost to feed 1 frozin thaw food for a year

  • depends how much you feed it(every 5 days or 7 days or w/e) but between 106 - 120 dollars unless you buy from a wholesaler in which case it would be around $20 roughly

  • thanks

  • ive got a cornsnake and ive just started feddin him fluffys.

  • you mean fuzzies lol

  • I call them fluffs too :S

  • lol

  • lol- so do i (have the same water dish) mine isn't eating it's pinkies- it ate them last week when i fed him for the first time & ate them when it was at the pet shop with no problem- does anyone know what i should do??- PLEASE REPLY

  • Go on the thecornsnake website link shown on the bottom of the vid. They have a forum that deals specifically with questions like this.

  • @ptsi000 got to a pet store they sell stuff to put in the water that will make your snake hungry and want to eat

  • i have the same water dish for my corn snake

  • snakes dnt dislocate there jaw, it was thought that 4 along time, they have an elastic membrane which allows them 2separate there jaw

  • This may be a dumb question, but how do you find out if the prey is the right size?

  • Ask your local pet shop they should know. They usually say if your snake looks for more food after feeding its time to move onto a bigger mouse/rat. Also dont feed it anything bigger than 2x its headsize. Hope it helped.

    Ammo

  • I read that you shouldn't feed your snake something bigger than the widest point of it... maybe that will help too...

  • they dont have earss

  • corn snakes don't have thermal pits.

  • Thats a beautiful corn snake you have there.

Ive never owned a snake before, but im going to a reptile convention and plan on buying 2 corn snakes for starters. I hope i get one of that color.

  • really, its not ideal to look after 2 corn snakes as starter. start off with one. then as you get more experianced buy more reptiles. i started with geckos. im now looking after 2 burmese pythons 1 nial monitor 4 herminns turtles.

  • Very informative. Thanks for taking the time to narrate.

  • google is the answer!

  • nice corn

  • nice corn

  • he probs meens roudent and it stuff like a mouse or a rat

  • i aint a pussy but i think its fukkin bogus to feed live routens to snakes...i might try the rats but not rabbits and shit.

  • wtfis a routen ?

  • good thing it's not a live mouse! i've seen so many vids on here with snakes being fed live mousies... it's not good - not for the snake and not for the mouse

bad thing - aspen is NOT good since it can result in breathing complications and digestive complications.

  • U daumbass then y r u watching this? LOOK AT THE TITLE.

  • The mouse was bought already killed and frozen! So I havent filmed an "innocent animal being killed". Its like you goin' down to the butchers for some chicken for your sunday lunch. In the wild these snakes would have to forage and kill live prey. In order simulate this natural behaviour the mouse was moved around with chopsticks.

TO EVERYONE ELSE: Don't feed your snakes live prey. It can result in injury to your snake and its ethically wrong as JakeB06 here has pointed out.

  • AND it makes your snake more vicous

  • ur a fucking fag dont watch shit that disturbs u

  • why do u keep watching them and posting them...

how else is it supposed to eat?

  • that rat was dead from the start.....

  • i have the same bedding as u does ur snake burry ts self under its bedding cause my corn snake does that and i was wondering if that was normal

  • Great video mate, my snake looks almost identical, oh btw its just stated going milky, so im gathering its going to shed skin any time soon, how long roughly does it take?

    cheers - Jamie

  • I dont really know mate i just made the video for a friends website. If you have any questions I suggest going to the website stated on the video. Theres forums where fellow owners can talk about their snake and answer anything from their experience. Hope that helps dude.

  • that is one ugly mutherfucker

  • Good wedsite

  • my corn is about 3-4 months old and is only about 1ft. 6in. long...I'm thinking about upping her to a fuzzie since I'm already feeding her 2 pinkies in one feeding..is this a good idea?

  • great video dude im lookin at buyin a corn as soon as so if you could pm me with anymore info on things like heating lightin and humidity that would be great!

  • Ah Just Realised This Is The Awsome Corn From The Cornsnake Webby! HaHa Nice.

  • yeah my friend built the site and i made this vid 4 him.

  • not to bad nice of you to use pre killed food i like you for that :)

  • yeah never feed your snake with live food, even a small mouse may bite or injure it. plus its ethically wrong!

  • nice snake, cool info. even tho corn snakes are a non venemous species that constrict their prey, i dont think they are in the same category as pythons and boas as the girth of the snakes body is rather average compared to the muscular bulk of pythons and boas?

  • cool i didnt know that

  • Nice Vid + Niice Corn!

    How Big Is It?

  • i think Sid Vicious (the cornsnake in the video) is just under a meter long.

  • Lovely Corn

  • Someone give me some feedback!
