It was raining he spooked because a car came up. He tried to run back to the barn he slipped fell and you know the rest. :(

he had to be put down after he got loose and got spooked . he broke his two front legs :(

actually, he fell after he spooked and lacerated his leg cutting off his blood supply to his hind leg and severing the deep digital flexor tendons, etc.

I miss him dearly and what happened was that
he spooked with Karen on his back Bolted off to the barn karen fell, and Teddy accident slid into the back of the barn breaking and tearing his back leg tendons.

He tried to jump out of his pasture and he busted up his legs. That's pretty much all I know. :[[

Nope, that must be a rumor. Personally it's no one's business but the O'Connors... but supposedly he was being spooky while being ridden, so the rider dismounted and he bolted back to the barn, injuring himself to the extent that he couldn't be saved.
