Totally not meant as an insult, sorry if that wasn't clear. To me, the worst kind of cover is one that tries to recreate the experience of the original 100% instead of doing something different. TMBG are a hard band to mimic to say the least.

ouch, not too bad but I've been working this one out myself and you've completely changed the song structure and chords. You shouldn't give TMBG much credit here because you've completely rewritten it. It's not the same tune, just the same lyrics. Check out Chordie, they have a mostly accurate version of the original for comparison.

@keithX72 It's called a cover. A cover of a song doesn't have to be a note-by-note recreation of the original (in fact, that's the worst kind of cover in my opinion - what's the point?) Check out the cover of Somewhere Over the Rainbow by Israel Kamakawiwoʻole for a good example. I thought this was amazing.
