I know weights keep a constant rpm at a given load, but does it have spiral grooves on rear pulley so that when u open throttle it revs higher than when u r cruising?

on scooters the rear puley has grooves cut in a spiral so it keeps a higher ration when u accelerate as it twists the rear puller inwards, how does the snowmobile setup do this or is it just a contstant engine speed regardless of throttle/ acceleration/load?

@tpvalley i dont know for sure but i think it does, it has the same feel as a scooter, my 09 mxz doesn't move till you hit about 4000 rpm and it tops out at around 110 at 8000 i think, to be honest i wasn't looking at the tac going that fast, and when you let off the throttle there is a lot of engine breaking. i hope that was more helpful than those two...

that belt is in the stock location, and it usually has some shielding. it would get wet but i think its done like that for ease of installation and for reliability.
