sorry about that I think I was having a senior moment, course it's been around since the 60s my apologies. In the industrial Northern wasteland (backwoods ,think Southern Comfort the film not drink) Acid and such was usually confined to UMIST and theUni SU bars. Glue and solvents were not usually needed as employers didn't give a toss and most people breathed them 8 hours a day lol. Tuinol and valium also pretty sparse use. O r di d I just lead a sheltered life? H never saw it used.
@Protechflyer1 Drugs were a huge part of the scene in the south. We lost a lot of people to drugs. An old mate and I were chatting just recently, and we estimated that in every 30 from then, there is only about 4 or 5 people left. A torrid tale of drugs, suicide and as we get older, 'natural causes'. Perhaps it was healthier in the north.
@ringspun01 I dont know what was going on in the States, but in England it was acid and speed all the way. That's why now I cant remember anything that happened earlier than this morning! Good times though. I think,,,,!
@illhaveadouble Acccccciiiiiiddddddd ;-) Not in Siouxsie best period mate, hadn't been invented then, a bit of speed ,amphetamine, weed ,maybe but that was still pretty much underground, the majority of "us" were usually no more than weekend drinkers. Drug use recreationally has gone about 5 fold since those far off days, we didn't need anything more than a few pints and the music to get us off.
@Protechflyer1 Acid was definately a feature of the punk scene, and had been available since the 60's. We used to take it as microdots, but I remember a few people had it in liquid form. Obviously I have no way of knowing where you are from, but I was in London and the South East at the time (76 - early 80's), so perhaps it was a local thing. Also glue and solvents were popular, as were tunal, valium and when the buzz of that left us, heroin. I was always a speed and acid girl myself!
so...emotionless. no downing this group (i know they have a fanbase.) But really...I hope their own work is more passionate than this cover.

@amdreh it's Sandman who looks like her.
Besides, she was very close to Cure's Robert Smith, who were Morpheus himself. :)
