One click lag fix took mine from 1000 up to 1800 which is not quite as good as the method in this video yet my phone is running flawlessly and really quick. i highly recommend it. Oh and im using a i9000 btw so i dont know how it goes for all other droids.

@einzeller85 yeah the lag problems are fixed, i think you still have to manually update to Gingerbread though if you buy new, which is a pain in the butt, its its quite easy, so no big deal :p

@redshiftexperiment well if you make sure you know what you are doing then its very very hard to completely brick the device beyond repair, it'd also worth remembering that rooting only voids the software warranty, my digitizer broke and i sent my phone off rooted and running MIUI and they didnt seem to care. In the end just remember that there is a huge community out there who will probably have done everything before so if you mess something up, likelihood is someone has done the same thing.

@gtagh not really in most cases its not safe. if i were you i would stick with 2.2. and 2.3 is coming out hopefully in next few days. it will make the phone quicker.

oclf kills ur phone b/c it only mimics an EXT4...it's not a true genuine EXT4 filesystem...if you want safe performance and stability...get a custom rom

@semsemhani you may have to download a patch/3 button fix, to enable your download mode, i had EXACTLY the same problem, some galaxy's come shipped with the download mode disabled, so if you haunt the android community forums, you will find the instructions and software required ..good luck

Easier Lagg-Fix, is to Enable USB-Debugging! Just read it in XDA-dev Forums. many many MANY ppl did this and it is proven, that it fixes lagging! Without root, without loosing warranty, without flash any stuff!
