There is a 80/20 chance the film WILL happen in CGI next year. They don't want to ruin the series by destroying their characters by making them old(er). They just convinced Bill Murray to voice act for the game and movie. He has stopped acting doing live-action movies altogether. His last one was a flick called Broken Flowers about finding his long lost son.

Actually Bill is just embarassed, and Dan is the one who didn't want to ruin the series. The video game was the first succeccful idea and has no relation to the movie. The script they are using for the movie is entitled "Ghostbusters Go To Hell." I'm 60/40 sure that it isn't the same script for the game.

i do believe the video game is a spin off with the first movie script only your the 5th ghostbuster with some of the new things happening catching the ghost that you dont see in the movie because the trailer shows them attacking slimer at the hotel and the stay puff marshmellow men and the librarian so we'll see but i believe its the first movie
