  • Their early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercial and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humour!

  • These guys are the best...Saw them multiple times and they never put on a bad show. So high energy. You can tell they enjoyed performing. Huey playing that harp always got to me..He was hot to look at as well. :)

  • @stevprescott Dwight Clarke from the World Champion SF 49ers. See Joe Montana on stage, too so think they're all 49ers---went on to win the Super Bowl (1988). Very cool stuff!

    don't listen to the lyrics. But they should because it's not

  • A band in their prime. Nobody rocked it better live in the mid 80s than Huey and his crew. Outstanding performance this.
