This song reminds me about the catholic church, the first verse says it all.

Ya know, they say no false idols but they worship mary (she's not god and they build statues of her). They say divorce is wrong (but if u pay enough $ to them, u can get ur marriage enulled). Who says my sins should be said to a priest when I have a relationship with God. Read the bible. Religion is Satanic, but Christ is real. I'm protestant but what u said about the catholic church is wrong. There are many Catholics that have a relationship with Christ and this song is talking about hypocrisy in some Christians everywhere, not a specific group.

Well actually I said the song reminds me about it...not that it is what the song means, and I never said anything about catholics not being able to have a relationship with christ. My problem is with the leaders ie. pope, bishops, priests who intentionally decieve ppl. They will stand behind the catholic church even if the stance is not biblical, or ethical. What authority do we have from God besides his written word?

This song gives me goosebumps everytime I listen to it. I love how she doesn't obliterate her foes in songs. She does like the Bible teaches & extends mercy & love toward them. & this song is very needed in the world. There's so much hypocrisy in the churches. I'm so glad there are others out there, who see this, & don't in turn blame God. Flyleaf's doing some amazing work now-a-days, thematically speaking. & my word this performance is killer. :) Love her screams. :) :) :)
