First comment in a year! Anyways, I found the cheesy glum old-timey rendition of "Amazing Grace" at the beginning pretty ridiculous. I agree with his comments about Hillary Clinton. I respect her, but I still don't want her as a president. Other than that, the rest is fairly obsolete now. Obama is president, and we're all seeing the plan he is laying down.
Feminism in the U.S. has really always been a professional, white woman's pursuit of power and thus warm feelings about feminists have subsided as of the last 10 years or so in America by moderates and liberals. No one feels badly for self-important yuppies no matter how much they talk about "the struggle".
Mart is morphing into his father. He tries hard in his writing to show how unlike his right-wing old Papa he is, how right-on, pro-Isreal etc he is. We've come a long way but not far enough to elect a woman President (hate that "ambition", that "toxic testosterone")Its safe now to be anti-feminist, but not anti-Semitic or anti-black. The feminist moment has passed, so its back to business-as-usual there.Mart's dad called him "a leaf in the wind of trend" Only time I've agreed with old Kingsley

Anti-feminism is not comparable to anti-semitism, outright misogyny would be comparable to anti-semitism.

You are the reason why this world is so fucked up. You're as dumb and brainwashed as the people you hate most, and you know who they are!

I suppose that is possible, detectivesyme, but I think it would be better for the our country if Obama is elected.

Amis has called himself a gynocrat before. That doesn't necessarily mean that he should support Clinton, but he didn't mention it either way.
