  • Bravissimo! grande swing e suono!

    complimenti!

  • lulz, i remember when I was a freshman, my school went on a trip to here (my school did it every year) and our jazz ensemble played there, and we watched this one band play, when this one guy had a sax solo which lasted 9/10ths of the song.

im pretty sure the song ended at one point but he kept going.

at the end i thought "finally" in my head, but said it out loud too.

the whole audience looked at me funny.

    I laughed my ass off.

    good times

  • definitely brecker inspired :D great sound

  • sounds great man...what sax are you using?

  • In that video I'm using my Reference 54

  • You look really familiar. What high school did you go to? I was in the jazz I ensemble for Newport High School from Bellevue, WA. I graduated in '04, but of the times I've been to LH I swear I must've seen you.

  • I just started listening to Brecker about a month before this performance.

  • saxophone players you like?

  • and i am sure your biggest influence is coltrane

    :)

  • yeah, well back then trane and dex were major influences, but now at school, Im more into Brecker and Redman kind of players. Im in a sort of shift with my style, playing with a whole buch of different players here at UMiami. Its not a huge change, I'm still me, but a little different. I just uploaded another video of a solo that I played a few weeks ago :)

  • Cool..our middle school,Tyee, won first place there, 2006 and 2007.

  • In 2004 we won too, I was on that one.

First year ever, props to Wilbert for keeping it alive

  • que pedo wey....it's been a year since berklee dan, you sound great...

  • Is that J.J. Johnson's Lament? I was supposed to play that on trombone at Hampton until our teacher was put on leave.

  • Terrific job. I was there, too. Do you happen to know the name of the young boy from Northwood who sang the solo for "Go Away Little Girl"?

  • I knew this kid when he was a punk second grader in Ms. Henderson's class. Nice sound, Dan :D

  • That's Dan Wagner from Jackson High School.
