... because the court found them guilty. Guilt isn't necessarily found in a single piece of evidence but is often logical deduction from smaller pieces of evidence which when taken as a whole establish the truth.

"Confessions" when taken by themselves were "proof" because the jury ignored the inconsistencies with the crime scene. Courts fuck up all the time but a prosecution as overtly shitty as the WP3's and jury as retarded as the one which convicted the WP3 is rare.

watching the cold case episode based on the WM3 helped put things in perspective. in the show, during the trial, it shows the boys coming out of the courthouse nervous. the character based on jessie asks the character based on damien something along the lines of "we can't really go to jail for a crime we didn't commit, right?" and the damien character assures him they can't. that's why they were acting so disrespectful in public. it's not that they meant to be disrespectful. they were just kids.

Did they do it? I don't know that, none of us do, because there wasn't enough evidence to justly convict them. We are all fortunate to live and breath democracy but this is painful evidence of what happens when democracy fails (which can only happen when we allow it). No one received justice in this case and every one is left asking questions, more importantly there may be a murder(s) of three beautiful children that will never see the inside of a prison cell, and we know the fate of the wm3.

He was convicted on rumor, theory, and neighborhood gossip while defense experts were not allowed to testify on his behalf.
