Same for me. I had never watched a TMNT episode before seeing the CGI movie, because we didn't have the channel the show was on. Anyway, I thought it was just an action cartoon for little boys. But then my sister rented the movie and it was much better than I thought. I liked the turtles' humor, but also their psychology and the flaws that made them more "human". I got interested to know more, so I started looking for episodes here, and now I'm a fan!

Ok, I admit I'd love them anyway even if I found nothing deeply interesting there, just because the turtles are so funny and lovable. But seriously, I can't help liking psychology, so even in cartoons that weren't meant to be very complex, I have fun reflecting on what inspired the characters' personalities and wondering, if they were real people, what might have affected their childhood and caused their specific differences... I'm weird, I know!
