  • very nice

  • I think that Nica Nbarga's father was Cameroon and his mother a Nigeria. He was brought up in Nigeria and started his music career in Nigeria. He live most of his life in Nigeria and produced most of his records in Nigeria too. So he was both a Nigerian and a Cameroonean. But lets enjoy his music that is what matters.

  • this is a wonderful reminder, the time when our yong girls hv value, God bless all the reminders.

  • nice stuff

  • Thank You for putting out good music! It reminds me of my younger years. Thank You.

  • This more sounds like camerounian. But i prefer the Nico s one.

  • So lets say he was Camergerian

  • @BrkCityFG9

I like your suggestion. We can now stop the debate of whether it is a Camerounian or Nigerian that way the rest of us can enjoy the art.

  • LA MUSIA VIVE GRACIAS TILDA

  • Ma tata louise,trop forte!!!

  • why r u quoting wikipedia for us?which country's national passport did he carry? He carried a Nigerian Passport.Where was this classic produced? It was produced by Rogers All Stars in Onitsha, Nigeria. That he came to cameroon during the civil war does not mean he came for musical inspiration!Cameroonians should go and look for their authentic music hero.Prince Nico represents the excellent spirit of the Nigerian

  • From Wikipedia

Prince Nico Mbarga (1-01-50 -- 24-06-97)... born to a Nigerian mother and a Cameroonian father in Abakaliki, Nigeria.

Music inspired by the 5 years he spent in Cameroon during the Nigerian Civil War in the late 1960's.

"Sweet mother," in 1976, more than 13 million copies... one of Africa's greatest songs)...

Here is Louisiana Tilda, Camerounian backup singer of

Prince Nico Mbarga and the Rocafil Jazz:

Sweet mother; Aki Special; Christiana; Welenga; Simplicity; Etc.

    Nice!

  • Candychocolat thanks for this brief rundown of history... I was wondering that this tunes were originally played by Nico Mbarga... So Tilda used to back up for Nico... thanks for the piece of information...
