  • Man, this noise is killing my nerves in my 2000 jeep wrangler sahara 4.0L. I did change the throtle body, IAC valve,PCV valve and the noise is still killing me while i'm driving. Evrytime when I reach 55miles per hours, the noise starts screaming. Some guys saying is Vaccum leak but I don't see that problem. I'm in the bad position too with this problem. i did send it to a mechanic and he ended up finding nothing. I need help too with this killer noise!

  • idler pulley would cause this

  • nice car

    that was very strange sound

  • you see that little filter thats ur problem

  • I know its an old vid, but not sure if you ever figured it out. I had a similar noise in my srt4 and it ended up being something caught in the breather tube in the valve cover. It was sending pressure through the motor and whining just like that. I only found this after changing all the vacuum lines, intake manifold gasket, as well as IAC and T/B gaskets.

  • well lol i coulnt tell you i need help on my ACR 2002 5 speed manual neon around 6 thousand RPMs it makes a weird noise from the engine...it sounds like Leaf or something and I'm getting scared that i red line it to much do you think you know what wrong i have videos i'm going to go out to see if i can record it whiloe running w/b if you have an awswer thanks..:)

  • check belts

  • Update. Swapped the intake manifold, triple checked everything intake related...still does it. :(

  • vacuum leak

  • That was of course our initial thought. But we've now taken the entire intake from the head out off...and can't find a thing.
