When I saw the print ads for Beyonce's Sasha Fierce Tour I recognized the motorcycle/handlebars outfit from this video instantly and I hadn't seen this in ages. Be nice if they actually cited who inspired them, but todays' popstars take all the credit themselves.

It is my 2nd- or 3rd-hand information that he did this video, and all of the super models volunteered for a purpose. No one got paid. It was to raise money for aids research. A very good cause and a testament (if it is true) to humanitarianism which the world seems a bit short on of late. If my information was wrong, I apologize. Either way, its a pretty rockin' video ;)

When I saw the print ads for Beyonce's Sasha Fierce Tour I recognized the motorcycle/handlebars outfit from this video instantly and I hadn't seen this in ages. "Lady Gaga is being post-modern and using her imagination to blend a pot-pourri of different styles together, drawing from....." blah. Yeah, she ripped this off completely too. Be nice if they actually cited who inspired them, but todays' popstars take all the credit themselves.

@richievegas01 I have to agree with you on everything... G M also covered a few songs but he NEVER EVER failed to give most credit to the original artists or singers. Imo he even made some songs more popular or made them his own just by performing them in some cases better than the original. But, aaaaw he's G.M. : a very classy and professional artist, simply unique! He's one of a kind in every way! :-)

@NewtonSalem Yeah, like I said, it wouldn't be so bad if she cited George Michael as an influence but I don't think she has. Loads of singers are guilty of it though, they'd rather have you believe they invented it all themselves. And despite what people say, 'Born This Way' DOES sound like 'Express Yourself'! Hopefully that comment isn't gonna open a can of worms!

@richievegas01 actually it's true, it's a shameless copy cat, and people believe she invented everything =/ well, I don't hate her but she isn't as original as people think, in fact, she is inspired by madonna, bjork, kiley minogue, christina aguilera, marilyn manson, grace jones, and other strange edgy artists.

@NewtonSalem Just give me an original thing you can make in 2011 and enjoy everyone... Lady GaGa is visiting every gender that the people love/loved but in a 2010 style.. It's for me a way to be original.. Maybe she copied a lot of thing, but she made and she's making some else. Her talent is original! After, if you don't apreciate the new music, even if it's a copy of Miss X, just stay at home listening your old CD's.. (And sorry for my english..)

The point is that she didn't invent it, and she just models it, but her fans think that she Invented Oxygen! and like the 85% of the things she used are from other artists or inspired by them, or from other designers that aren't HERSELF. What I want is her to MAKE SOMETHING ON HERSELF, but apperently, she can't. she is making homenages to old artists, and that's cool but she isn't original,at all.

@regina3664 Yeah, obviously, I'm not disputing that. The fact that George Michael got there ages earlier though means he should get the credit for including them in a music context. What are the odds both Beyonce and Lady Gaga first saw those clothes in this vid as teenagers/kids? I bet they remembered them from this, not from a catwalk show. After all, they're meant to be pop singers, not fashion designers, despite what people say.
