There is no motor and no battery used for moving the bicycle. It's just a regular bicycle and is human power only. However, I did change the gearing to extend both the high and low end giving me more speed on the level and more power to climb the steep hills we have in this area. (Wide range Alpine gearing 11 - 34 cassette on the back wheel.)
