  • wow, great!

  • Thank you!

  • wow great stuff i am learn from jaun martins book i cannot aford lessons but fantastic stuff

  • Thanks for your comment. I learned from Juan Martin, too. It is still a great book to learn the essentials of flamenco. In addition, I listened to cante and its great accompanists. It solidifies understanding of compas for various forms of cante and how different rasgueado techniques can be used effectively to get an authentic sound. Due to youtube, I think it is possible to learn flamenco without a good teacher, who anyway might be difficult to find unless you live in Spain. Good luck .

  • brilliant....

    You are a great player!

    ive just recently discovered Sabicas,

Your timing and feeling is great....

  • Thanks for you generous comment, which I take as encouragement. Sabicas truly is one of the giants of traditional flamenco and few will doubt that he was technically the most accomplished flamenco guitarist of the pre-Paco era. His "Flamenco puro" recording more than half a century ago is somewhat of a gold standard of traditional flamenco, abundant with masterpieces, and luckily for guys like me, a transcription (by Joseph Trotter) exists. Good luck with your studies.

  • merci beaucoup
