At least you guys know you won't have to bring any food to the fight. Those guys @ 1:47 look like they could live off their bellies for a month. That's one thing I don't like about the militias, it mostly a bunch of fat old guys. I just got out of the Army Infantry and don't feel like those guys could do ANY combat operation that involved anything more Strenuous than watching Saving Private Ryan.

Citizen Volunteer. 50% of the FAT OLD MEN are veterains, they served their time and in a few years you will join the ranks of FAT OLD MEN.  Of that another 50% are combat vets. Yes we are old, but we are still Citizen Volunteers. If Disasters, Crime, Invasion, Terrorism, or Tyranny occur we are not waiting for help to arrive, we can help ourselves.

But number one, they are first responders to their own situations, and do not rely on others for help. Are you saying that when someone gets old that they should give up their Freedom ? Or their right to defend their own Life ? Or their Familys Lives ? We are Citizens.

@militia48186 I have argument politically against the militia movement. I think the militia serves an important purpose in the US. I'm just doubting the abilities of said militia. How can you defend your home if you can't run down the block? If you're commited to performing a role, maybe you should concentrate a little more on being able to fulfill that role. Physical fitness is one of the most important aspects in any team. It is just as important as marksmanship and discipline.

There are plenty of dead "physical fit" team members killed by old-farts with WWI bolt action rifles. Militia is about doing what you can with what you got where ever you are. Don't assume abilities of anyone, find out, or you may be taken by surprise. The guy in the wheelchair you ignore may pop you.

I still take the time to keep my weight in check now that I'm a civilian. There's a guy in a wheelchair that works out at my gym so I don't know of any excuse for anyone to be obese. Some of the guys in this clip don't just have a few extra pounds, I don't have a problem with that, they are grossly obese.

If every member does not use the same caliber of rifle it is a good idea to put the caliber of ammo you need along with your name so that the resupply won't give you the wrong ammo.That is what I would do. Sooner or later you may get the wrong ammo

For one thing Militias that don't operate in conjunction with larger conventional forces will always be running or hunkered down.

Militias operating by themselves need terrain. Like WVA. Flat landers will be slaughtered if they have to fight Cobra gunships and the like. Once cut off, circular envelopment, there will be NO resupply.

The Taliban is a good study. They have safe haven, really ruff terrain. Something most americans will not have in case of an all out war here.
