  • Two very important rock and roll musicians, still rockin even after their Elvis days.

  • I love Pauls version of Thats allrigt Mama.I think it is much better than Elvis version.

  • @drugsguru you're obviously an internet tough-guy nobody and an over-all scrub as well. Scotty Moore was following in the shadow of Chet Atkins. He began playing jazz and country music as a youngster and that's where his chops were. Berry was a delta man, following Lightning Hopkins and T-Bone Walker. He was forming Rock chops in 52-53' Where do you think the inspiration for this Sun 54' recording came from? And congratulation two white dudes doing a sub-par version of B-good with no personality

  • and for the record this song was written and composed by Arthur Crudup! not Elivs...

  • @sublime327 Who give's a shit who wrote it..Your a fucked up prick you...Send one more shit stabbing comment to me and i will bully you into submission.. Fucking prick..You picked a fight with the wrong man this time shit for brain's...hey arthur big boy cruddup...Fucking nonce..eat shit...

  • Fuckin' prick. Paul never does this. Never. He felt inferior to these guys. Intimidated. That's why he was being such a bastard. I hate seeing Paul this way. I would've thought he would've been havin' the time of his life with these guys. But no. He had to be an egotistical snot.

  • @MrFukitt ..............Seems like you may be a tad jealous which is understandable .

  • i am from liverpool also our humour not understood by many...Thanx paul for playing with First ever rock Guitarist in the world....Scotty the greatest....

  • @drugsguru Sorry but you're just not on spot. Chuck Berry was the first "rock and roll" guitarist. Anyone who overlooks that is either ill-informed or a racist who can't accept the fact that African - Americans had a tremendous influence on the sound of Rock.

  • @sublime327 No your the one who is wrong.Chuck berry began in 1955 when he met muddy water's..Scotty moore began with elvis in 1954 with that's all right mama and blue moon of Kentucky..How do you figure a british man like me, married to a thai woman (asian if your as brain dead as i think)is racist? beside's i have a video on my channel with me playing johnny be goode...So sort ya head out before you chat shit...I do agree that the blues was the begining of rock..

  • @sublime327 Then ya had to fuck it up with this shitty hip hop rap garbage..

  • This is so cool. And Paul was obviously joking with guys he's honored to play with. He's a humble guy. Get over yourselves people.

  • he is not joking at all!! Look at him, its not only our voice is speaking, our body speaks too. I do not know much about P.Mc.C., but here he is not joking, that s for shure, no matter how big in music he was or still is

  • @BenniReiser009 you are right.. you don't know much about paul...that's the kinda joke that paul often does

  • paul fucked this song up it has to be sang by the King

  • The King has never been a king, he stopped a being a clown.

  • @WolbertErich your fab 4 faggots can all go suck a cock.

  • @EvanVanEtten hardly fucked it up. He did a decent cover. He was also a million times the MUSICIAN of Elvis.

  • I thought it was very gracious of Fontana at the beginning to say how much he loves the Beatles, because if it wasn't for early R&B, 50's rockabilly, and basic rock n' roll there wouldn't have been the Beatles -- or British Invasion, period. ;-)

  • @motownmaniax True, but the same could be said of Elvis so it's a moot arguement. It's all derivative from the same stuff: black R&B/jazz blues and country regardless of who ripped who off. Black music palletable for white folk is pretty much all it was/is. Sounded awesome of course but to say Elvis started rock and roll full stop is a lie. White rock and roll absolutely. Not that it matters anymore. The Beatles are legendary for the stuff they went on to do after the R&R derivative stuff.

  • Paul is a workaholic when it comes to music, and he takes it VERY seriously.

  • Yeah, first time I watched it I thought--"Is he being serious?", but after another viewing, it's easy to tell he was just being dry. The "this is work" statement should tip it off-

  • Ah, Paulie. A great songwriter (a long time ago), an absolutely brilliant musician, but a massive, egotistical, control-freak dickhead of enormous proportions. Is it any wonder the other three Beatles wanted out of the band?

  • @GTinsdale For crying out loud he's joking around. How could anyone watching this think he is being serious?

  • paul has 15 years old again

  • MY DADS BAND PLAYED ON THE SAME SHOW AS SCOTTY MOORE AND DJ FONTANA TWICE, AND BOTH TIMES, DJ FONTANA USED MY DADS DRUMS, AND HE SIGNED ALLT EH DRUMS.... ITS FADED ABIT NOW THROUGHT AGE BUT YOU CAN STILL SEE IT,,, ITS ACE! HE TOLD MY DAD, HE WAS A GREAT DRUMMER! :)

  • PAUL IS BRILL - BUT HES ALSO A STUCK UP HIS OWN ARSE TWAT - :(

  • @MrFukitt I met him and he was fantastic. Especially with the kids!

  • @parnellrd

    Paul is a legend. You're a fool.

  • Macca is a legend and so are the guitarist and drummer.

jcentis, go and get yourself a brain.

  • what did he say that was so bad

  • If I was in the presence of these legends that day the excitement and nerves with tears in my eyes would have got to me , I would have farted followed through and shat my pants ,

  • @Albert18264 - they are just like you & me only they can sing a few songs and play a couple of instruments, they get sick, eat piss & shit like us, they even love their own egos, esp' mcCartney

  • Paul is such a JERK!!!! Like you talk to Scotty that way.......Prick.

  • pail his kinda strict huh? he don't like to jock around?? those guys were us to elvis he love to jock around even at work.

  • haha dj fontana and paul mccartney world's oldest teenagers

  • Elvis band members trump a Beatle anyday.....

  • Proof all along that Paul has always been a prick. He couldn't carry Scotty Moore's guitar case. George and John were The Beatles...it's obvious now. Paul needs to go away and let what little is left of his legacy live on....

Scotty Moore was a monster guitarist in his day. Rock on brother man...rock on!

  • @steentompkins Dude, lighten up. He was kidding around. You're the prick here.

  • Comment removed

  • Haven't read all the comments, but so far I didn't see any mention of Ahmet Ertegun who seems to be running this session.

  • I REALLY LIKE PAUL SINGING BUT THE WAY HE HIS ACCENT IN THE BACK POCKET THE DOES AMERICAN SONGS IS JUST AMAZING.

  • I have always liked Paul and his music. But I think he should have had more respect for these gentlemen. What was his comment, Goofing off on me?

  • @LookingRU He was kidding! Paul grew up loving these guys! He was just havin fun..

  • Wow, Scotty Moore sounds fantastic. I love you Paul.

  • 4 dislikes!!!?!?!?!?!

  • I dont really like elvia but i do thank him a lot becaue he inspired in a big way macca!

  • Love how paul ALWAYS has to be the alpha male when playing with other people, soo funny!

Scooty Moore is one of my favorite guitarists

  • @sublime327 Its hard to be humble when you´re the best.

  • This was really cool, I think Paul should do more of Elvis's stuff, if anyone can do it and really do it justice Paul can.

  • I wonder why Sir Paul never got together with the origional Cricketts, Joe, Jerry and Nicky... That would have been cool AND lucrative for him since he owns the rights to Buddy Holly's material.

  • There is Elvis and then, the Beatles. All else pales by comparison, period. Paul is a a very good Elvis imitator and has a real feel for the Elvis style. Great stuff! And with Elvis' band? Perfect.

  • How cool is THAT...?!

  • @parnellrd Its a crime to insult poeple on here when you don't know them, so your comment is sensible eh?

    TOSSER.

  • Imagine Paul's delight, he gets to play with some of his childood idols, but Paul has more than earned this because of his genius and success - God rest DJ, Black's and Elvis' souls. Paul's the man.

  • @zzremington , Luckily DJ is fine and well

  • @TheDiddlysquat I should have said twenty-first birthday. Otherwise there is no perspective.

  • @TheDiddlysquat I was front and center at a Paul McCartney concert in Montreal. When I arrived home the next day, my family was having dinner. Before I could tell them about the concert, my sister had to go to the hospital to deliver my youngest niece.

    Today is her birthday.

  • Great version, songwriting genius but voice not as good as Elvis the man!

  • i think he is joking and being sarcastic,,,, dont get him wrong

  • You rock DJ. God rest your soul.

  • Elvis had such a better voice than Paul but Paul was a songwriter genius!

  • scotty and dj two of the best

  • @MrChrisco55 you're such an asshole

  • @bragasetembro

My Dad is such an asshole.

  • Paul Is The Shit! the king would appreciate this.

  • Paul is one of my favorite bass players of all time. He bought Elvis' original double bass.

  • I love both The Beatles and Elvis. This is great.

  • For those who are negative here about Paul-- it was obviously him gently joking with people he revered. Can no one understand humor on Youtube?

  • @kirbygene Not so much. Anyone who is well versed in the ways of Paul knows this. Ask David Bowie, the members of Wings, Michael Jackson, Pete Townsend, the list goes on. Being labeled (and respected as) the most popular composer in pop music will do this to a man. DJ's job is to keep time, as a drummer, and count them in. Why would Paul feel that was his job, as a guest in a jam? @wilsondylanmccartney is accurate. Paul was gently kidding the first time, the second time showed his true nature..

  • @kirbygene and no one is negative about Paul, we all love him. Every part of him, including the control freak.

  • This is Elvis Presley en NOT Paul Mccartney

  • Are you guys havin a laugh ? Paul was goofing around with them with the false starts. Its British humour ! Macca is in awe of these guys...they started it all with Elvis.

  • @muller74 They dont get it because they are a bunch of morons... Im amazed at the number of idiots who participate in these forums.

  • Paul's dream came true!

  • i met scotty more once and was a very gentle giant and watchin paul treat them as if they were session musians ..........sorry paul but you acted a complete cock

  • @fastnwild I think he was goofing around to. He's being ironic. I think they get the joke.

  • @fastnwild Ehh that was a joke.

  • I think Paul was in awe of playing with the men who were Elvis' original band, Paul and the Beatles held Elvis in such admiration and awe, as do all who enjoy the music of the greatest entertainer of all time....rock on Scotty, DJ and Macca

  • Thie most ironic thing for me regarding Paul's remarks, is that if you listen to the out takes on the beatles recordings, you hear them goofing around almost every time, and he has the cheek to tell the legends in there own back yard not to goof around? I love the beatles, and i am myself from the north of England, but if i was scotty, i would have twatted him for his cheek! Gibsons are heavy scotty, get him next time.

  • @ronnieneo What are you guys on man. He was joking.

  • The guys in the studio were like What the fuck's Paul doing?? Paul never acts this way. I don't know, but I do know that Paul wasn't his real self in this scenario with Scotty Moore & DJ Fontana. Instead of being really gracious and fun, like I thought he would be, he was extemely uptight, guarded and pissy. Paul is my number one favorite artist of all-time, and of the hundreds of videos I've watched of him, I've never seen him act this way. Thumbs down to Paul in this particular circumstance.

  • This is great, but when Paul says "No laughin' and jokin' guys. This is serious. This is work. No goofin' off on me," he wasn't kidding. And that pisses me off. That puts a bad taste in my mouth. Paul was being a shit with them. Not cool. But other than that, this is very neat :)

  • @wilsondylanmccartney

and that´s why the lads wanted to leave the beatles...paul should have been a boss to boss around people, man, under these circumstances i really understand why john and george "hated" him so much, y know, get back sessions and stuff

  • @augusto909 Do you havve a clue? I dont think so. Go back under the rock you crawled out from.

  • @wilsondylanmccartney: OF COURSE HE'S KIDDING. Why would you even think for a second that the wasn't? He's obviously kidding. Sheesh.

  • @TheMrosin He's not kidding. I know Paul and he wasn't kidding. Trust me.

  • @wilsondylanmccartney: You must not know him well because you can tell by the sound of his voice, he's joking. Why can't people like you give Paul a break? You always rush to think the worst.

  • That old man in the studio is Ahmet Ertegun He is Legend of Legends

Ertegun was president of Atlantic Records, writer of classic blues songs, and chairman of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and museum, described as "one of the most significant figures in the modern recording industry." He also co-founded the New York Cosmos soccer team of the North American Soccer League.

  • fake teeth ,fake hair, voice sucks, grandpa why dont you go take your billon bucks and drop dead one day .

  • @rigoberto565 He got in the room with those guys. Did you? Wait a minute - by any standard you'd be in the minority re the voice sucks comment.

  • Even Paul McCartney looked nervous playing with a legend like Scotty Moore!

  • paul, the best

  • What kind of whacked out video is this?

  • Świetnie:)

  • Two words: LE-GENDS! kkkkkkkkkkkk

  • Sir Paul is a fantastic musician, composer and true Elvis Fan.

  • great legends indeed!

  • Never knew this happened Paul looks 15 again

  • You've got to love Macca, its a crime not to.

  • @HORACECOPE2 and also a crime to not love the KING of rock and roll, Elvis

  • @HORACECOPE2

He can be a real cunt sometimes, but I can't stay mad at him.

  • @HORACECOPE2 unless you're Heather Mills

  • paul is always positive about elvis unlike john who seemed to like knocking everybody else.

  • Very nice, thank you!

  • Scotty is due a lot of credit, those are some sweet licks he came up with for this song.

  • @upst8 Credit? Most guitarists think he is a God. How much credit can you get?

  • I'm sorry nobody can cover the King's music. And I'm not a Beatles fan but nobody can cover their music either. BUT I SURE DO LOVE ELVIS !

  • thats ahmet innit?

  • I love Paul . No musicians in the world have respect for Elvis and his music , like Paul !

  • @godwhatcanihave - none can cover ELVIS surly not mc cartnet?

  • never saw this. Way cool.watch me sing a few Elvis songs if you get time. Happy New Year. Thanks Dan Dell

  • scotty is great isn't he he just doesn't miss a beat , can't say much for paul this is why the beatles could never cover ELVIS , many thanks for posting.

  • @memphis77 Elvis changed the world and macca did the same. E and M never covered eachother like van Gogh never tried to imitate Rembrandt

  • @jacckful actually Elvis did do a soulful cover of "Yesterday"

  • @andyjohnD That`s right and I just listened to that. It`s a live record and Elvis sings it in HIS style. Soulful indeed.I didn`t mean no Beatles lyrics and music but actually no IMITATING!. E also sang a Beatles Songs promo in studio.

  • @memphis77

    You're so spot on!

  • @memphis77

    hahahahahahah.

No one can cover the Beatles. : - )

  • Hey hey does anyone know the name of Elvis' guitarist?

  • scotty moore

  • @envolopee Scotty Moore!!!

  • wow amazing stuff

  • Great to hear Scotty Moore. Proficient guitarist? Not necessarily, but the style is very unique and almost a dead art. Based on Merle Travis, blues players, country finger picking. I give Paul credit for recognizing Scotty's influence

  • Elvis started everything, everyone was influenced by him including the great Beatles....im not a fan of 'em but u can't deny their impact on music.

  • Wow i hope to bee paul at that time Playing with Elvises King of Music`s Guitarist Scotty Moore and Drummer Dj fontana

  • this must be a pretty amazing feeling for Paul. Playing with the angels of God.

  • This was posted on Scotty Moore's birthday (mine too).

  • Where would music be without The Beatles and Elvis?

  • Wow, Scotty is STILL amazing, and DJ is so underrated. Come on, now, these guys honed that SUN STUDIO sound, along with BIll BLACK on bass. Great, great musicians from a simpler time with simpler music, that they just blew out of the water. We are so lucky to still have them around and see them jam with Paul McCartney. But, without Elvis and the guys, there may have never been The Beatles.

  • How ironic.... love this. Paul was just kidding around but was glad to jam I am sure. Elvis is probably rolling over in his grave as the Beatles kinda pushed things along before he was through. Those guys probably knew it also, especially some intimate comments Elvis may have said around them. Maybe if Elvis was around today...he would join them! Paul could read stuff while he was there as well, I'm sure. The drummers expressions told a little - maybe? All was good when it was over though

  • This is NICE, but does NOT COME CLOSE TO ELVIS' ORIGINAL VERSION, GALAXIES APART.

  • paul comes across as a dick head here

  • He is British he was being sarcastic. Its a British thing.

  • they should get out the road and get a bus for sure!!

  • all three of them totally RULE!!!

  • paul the best

  • fantastic

  • This is excellent. When was this recorded?

  • scootty moore the best rockabylly guitar
