It's probably stressed and losing color. Its happening to mine to because he's living in a small space. Luckily I got him a 5 gal yesterday and he got his color back!
Treatments don't usually go well with labarynth fish as there aren't many medications out there for them. Your best course of action is to add 1tsp or aquarium salt per gallon and fix your water conditions. If you get rot then it is mostly caused by bad water conditions.
Salt will prevent further infection and aid in healing while you get your tank back to good condition :) I see this was months ago, but heres a tip if it happens again. ITs worked for me
When I was setting up my 50 gallon discus tank, I was having heaps of fin rot and lost atleast 8 cardinal tetras and 2 cory catfish. I used a medicine called melafix by API and I'll tell you; it only makes the water smell good ;(. After 3 days of using Marcyn by Mardel, it was totally gone (I only did one water change and that was before I added it, your not meant to do water changes when doing the procedure.

It doesn't look like fin rot to me. During fin rot the ends turn black or dark.

Just put it in medicated water. My betta has fin rot right now and I am going to petco tomorrow to buy medicine.
