so does anyone own one of theese, i got a slash, with the stock motor, i meed to kno if itll keep up. every time they make a vid with slashes in it they baby the slashes to make this look fast it seems like
someone for got to show hpi trophy truck have lots of droop and suspension travel on their trucks and a solid rear axle .l mean if you re going scale go all the way!!
@quietfamily i dont think anyone makes 4 stroke car motors at all. It would need to be an MGT 8.0 style air motor conversion. I would be fine with a 2 stroke nitro version.
very cool video hpi should ve used this one for sure for their promotions!! I can watch it over and over .You made it look faster than it is ,but I did notice it needs better shocks or springs in back it sags alot & bounces around in back too. May wanna change shock oil too to at least 40w . Wonder what it could do with a 10 turn motor ,hmmmm
What a superb video! Magnificent camera work, imaginative and accurate, combined with great editing and a first-rate subject. If I weren´t determined to wait for the Flux version this video would have me banging on my model shop´s door!
i hate thisn truck i bought it and im bitterly disapointed with it there is scale and then there is just slow and dont get me started on the screws it took it to my hobby shop and they tried to get the out and they just rounded off using the size screwdriver hpi tells you to use
@SLASHINANDBASHIN wow bro ur crying over one screw u should have known better to use a smaller screw driver...and if ur complaining about the slowness maybee try not being affraid to spend some money and get a lipo and brushless system
@mychanneldonttouch i use a 50c 5900 lipo in it and the screw that stripped was the motor mount screw so i cant get the old motor out to install brushless
what u think in compared to the slash 4x4? cuz this one grabs my attention...and do u see any things that will be a have to, to upgrade out of the box??

Is the truck all stock? Does anyone make any aftermarket stuff for these yet? I know the Slash has tons. Mostly interested in bodies and wheels haha, never gonna race just a play toy for me to bash around just wanna make it look cool. Also is it possible to raise the ride height much on these? They seem a little low?
Great video and good variety of terrain! Thanks for showing what the Mini Trophy is capable of! I linked your video on the front page of the Ground Pounders R/C forum.
You can see the rear end pop up at 1:57 due to the shocks not having enough stroke and bottoming... If the rear was higher it would have soaked up the bumps even better.... I LOVE it... Can't believe it isn't brushless... That thing scoots!
That looks hot.... I agree with some that the static sag in the rear of the truck looks really low (even compared to the pics of the real one)... But the shocks are threaded adjustables so you can raise the rear ride height with a couple of twists... Soaks up the bumps REALLY nicely... Raise the rear some and that truck will look even hotter..
@Atgti yea i was wondering why it said 1/12th scale and i decided that tt are bigger than short course cause i got the measurments and it said 21 inches long and i was like its a inch longer than my freinds slash 4x4 at 20 inches
Thank you for doing something different. The Slash was cool because it was different. Everything else that came after it was more of the same. This is different again. And it's awesome.
And Tower's got it listed for $239.99..Affordable, too.
i hate to be the first one to point this out, but theres definitely an easy fix and it may not ven be a problem, but the back end looks way to low for offroad terrain, the rear suspension looks maxed out for the entire run, but maybe its supposed to be like that?
so does anyone own one of theese, i got a slash, with the stock motor, i meed to kno if itll keep up. every time they make a vid with slashes in it they baby the slashes to make this look fast it seems like

If you see the sizes, its bigger then the avarage 1/10 on-road and off-road cars.
Soo I think it's more scale for example than the Blitz.
