@Emil308 Thank you i did look on the movie imfo yes last movie in 2001 he used to live in Lake Forest California its a sleepy town about 80 miles south of Los Angeles im a plumbler and happened to get a job at its house he was home he was very kind to me, i told hin i was a big fan of his work in Serpico he thanked me did the job had lunch with him his wife made me a sandwich, i really liked talin to him he was so cool he told me DeNiro was a great guy maybe a studio can help me? @OEKCVB I don't understand what you're saying, what happened to WHO?? Richard Foronjy? If that's who you mean he's probably retired man, he hasn't done anything in 10 yrs. And he probably at home where you did that plumbing job for him. And yes I did hear that a 2nd Midnight Run is in the works although I heard that Grodin won't be in it. Grodin is 76 yrs old now, pretty sure he's retired too, hasn't done anything in 6 yrs. It would be cool to see a sequel, but everyone is just so old now.

@OEKCVB they're all still alive, but u don't make a movie just cause all the characters are still alive. Yeah they're all alive, but every one is OLD now. The movie doesn't look so good when there are a bunch of seniors running around. All the characters were in their late 40's and early 50's when MR was made in 88. Now add 23 yrs later, that makes them all seniors by now. It would be cool to see, but in the end I don't see a Part 2 happening.

The Cafe scene at the 2:19 time frame was at a Cafe in Globe AZ. The next clip with the helo was about a block from the cafe in Globe! The last that I heard about this Cafe,....It was closed! Nice people and good food!

This is my favorite movie of all time! I swear, I think most of the dialogue between DeNiro and Grodin was improvised - they probably took the script and tore it up! The bus scenes especially were most likely improv'd. You didn't show it here, but there is one part on the bus where Grodin keeps nagging DeNiro to put out his cigarette, and DeNiro eventually can't think of anything to say, then he bursts out laughing and says, "What a pain in the ass this guy is!" Absolute Gold!!!
You left the best part! What the cab driver says after he asked if he has change for a thousand. The cab driver says"what are you, a comedian? Get out of here you bum!"
When director Martin Brest rejected the idea, Paramount suggested teaming De Niro up with Robin Williams, who became eager to get the role and offered to audition for Brest. However, Brest was impressed by Charles Grodin's audition with De Niro. The director felt that there was a real chemistry between the two actors. As a result, Paramount backed out and their UIP partner Universal Studios became interested in the project.
Paramount Pictures was originally interested in backing Midnight Run, but they wanted a big name star opposite De Niro in order to improve the film's chances at the box office. Their production executives suggested that the Mardukas character be changed to a woman and wanted Cher for the role in the hope she would provide some "sexual overtones".

absolute classic. the funniest bit in the film is straight after Jack steals the FBI badge off Alonso. He doesn't even say anything, he's walkin down the street with his back to the camera and all of a sudden swivels around and flashes the badge like he's a big hotshot. I nearly pissed myself laughin. the funniest part is when DeNiro is on the phone with Eddie "Eddie, don't start with me now, or I will shoot him and dump him in a fucking swamp!!!" and then shakes his head at grodin, reassuringly.

My favourite bit is the phone call Jack makes to Eddie from the FBI office, that starts with "I'm calling to let you know you're a dead motherfucker, you understand me!" and has Eddie knocking the handset on the desk and then says to Jack "Are you done yet?" whilst Jack is swearing his head off...

not incld here, but how 'bout when the marvin, jack and the duke are in dorfler's car w/ the helicopter chasing them.
automatic rifles blast out the car's rear window & the 3 of them are screaming. dorfler goes, 'they're gaining on us!' duke screams, 'they're flying, of course they're gaining on us!'
1 of those ones great lines you miss the first time thru but you catch during the repeated views.
grodin. so good in this flick, but so was everybody else. everyone single character.

absolute classic. the funniest bit in the film is straight after Jack steals the FBI badge off Alonso. He doesn't even say anything, he's walkin down the street with his back to the camera and all of a sudden swivels around and flashes the badge like he's a big hotshot. I nearly pissed myself laughin. Can someone post this clip?!!

Damn,this is one of my favorite movies too,i watched it about 100 times in my life,its not only my favorite but i think its one of the best movies of all time,because its action,comedy ,and a lil drama and at timea a lil emotional,luv da shit out dis movie.

-We are driving now, we had to scrap the bus
-Fuck the bus, what happened to the goddamn plane
-He doesn't like to fly

My favourite bit is the phone call Jack makes to Eddie from the FBI office, that starts with "I'm calling to let you know you're a dead motherfucker, you understand me!" and has Eddie knocking the handset on the desk and then says to Jack "Are you done yet?" whilst Jack is swearing his head off...

What his current portfolio looks like doesn't change the fact that he was far better (for this particular role) than Robin Williams would've been.
You're right, though. Maybe Grodin should be signing on for ground-breaking films like RV. Maybe then he'd warrant more respect.
