The barrel is designed for a full leaded slug and shoots perfectly with a 385gr bullet. Also my late grandpa built the gun from the stock up so we use the 385 gr bullet to honor him. We use a T/C encore for the long shots.
jesus 385 grains? you realize that a projectile that large is for like a buffalo right..?lol the perfect bullet weight is 250 gr. or 270gr. itll lay em on their backs every time, and your range will be greatly increased. (flatter shooting, faster bullet speed)
