I am about to hear a performance of Magic Flute in Austin, Texas this weekend -- I will try to forget what I've heard here, so I can enjoy the soprano! (It would not be fair to compare her to Lucia Popp - but it is so wonderful to hear her here.)
Definitely, maybe the best of all time Pamina, although she looks better as Queen of the Night. But it is natural that his daughter's voice is similar to the mother:)
But his singing touches the soul, completely. Thank God we have such luminaries of the opera for our Earth.

I quite like the bright quality of tone she has. It suits the song very well by adding distance with the sadness she's portraying. One of my favorites for sure.
