Freight train cab ride

This is a VERY old loco right? I mean nobody in their right mind today would design a locomotive where the driver has all controls on his left side so he has to sit sideways.

OK...I finally have this straight...There's a ladder RIGHT before the line of cars in front of us...Watch AND listen to the vid and it will be obvious. I had to watch it again b4 I caught it..and I WAS THERE...lol oh well. Thanks 4 watching.

Ok I've seen situations where a multi locomotive freight train passes by and they keep the headlights on the rear engine on, but at a lower setting. Why do they keep the rear engine light on? especially since it's being blocked by the frieght cars?

@CaptainZster No, funny thing is I can't come up with what it actually is. It looks alomost exactly a c40-8, but it is a 2-axle instead of 3...I hope that info helps.

oh ok because i saw you guys were heading towards another row of cars and didnt see there was switches off to the side. usually i see trains go into an empty switch. i thought the engine was a AC because the rear fin in the back of engines. how big was the yard you were in?

@aaronwmalone not very big....maybe about 5-6tracks total?...pretty much what u see right their. pretty much its just an exchange place. I'll ask him what kind of engines they are....they are 2axle standard cab ge's if it helps.

No its not an ac4400...its a ge but i dont remember what kind. And no we didnt hit the wrong switch......we were going down to pick those up after we dropped the train we brought up. And its in warwick oh.
