whenever I hear english speakers in ads or movies, they sound like they're deliberately slowing down their speech. so funny. So they end up sounding like slow-talking robots. O.o

That's on purpose: most foreign speakers who use English as a second language find the real talking speed of English speakers too fast to keep up. To use it in movies where a large portion of the audience will have (and try to use) secondary English training, the movie director will have to pace the English so the non-native users can understand it.

It annoys the hell out of people to find language they've been taught for decades is being spoken too fast, and that's a good way to lose business

I hate it when English speakers go to other countries and expect everyone to speak English. It's really arrogant to think that way and closed-minded to boot; you learn so much about a country through its language.

That said, I am humungously tired right now and couldn't really face an entire movie in Korean (I am a Korean movie addict, btw) and so, as a native English speaker I'm thrilled that the main character speaks English all the time...LOL

His voice is wayyyyy too... eh I donno, it's like indifferent.. Maybe it's because he isn't speaking Korean.. I can't put my finger on it.. but I don't really like it too much..

Maybe it's just his acting? It's too, uninterested, or unfeeling. He's not putting enough emotion into the role. Plus with his voice so neutral and nonchalant it's hard to tell if I like this so far. It's only the first part so I'm going to keep watching, but I hope his detached behavior changes.

I'm glad that this was the first role I saw of Daniel Henney because he's so charming in real life and in his other roles. I would not have bought Mr. Robin's role otherwise. He's soOo the opposite of this role.

But if he's gonna play mean he should get a voice coach. His voice is too soothing at normal pitch.
