Use to dig this track back in the day when T-Boz was still a DJ on S. Africa's finest, Metro FM. He always blazed it on his 9pm show which I never missed. He was so passionate about neo-soul. Now Bambo's the one flying the neo-soul flag on Metro while the rest are just utter idiots who play such drap music that I wish I was deaf just so I don't go through the trauma of hearing it. I agree. Dwele and Raheem sound very different, but the quality of their music is comparable at least. I liken the both of these artists to Musiq Soulchild. All three brothers consistently make this generation's best music, in my opinion. "Lay It Down" is definitely one of my favorite Dwele songs. I really like "Hold On" too.
