@zizzy897 It's not an issue of grammar - I think he's singing "fate", and "taking charge of my own fate" makes more sense in English. Also, someone who spells "your" as "ur" shouldn't be complaining about grammar!

But I think the lyrics aren't correct... I guess they should be;

"seeming every way"; "Same in every way"

"a shore to my own faith"; "charge of my own faith"

"some on my own"; "some of my own"

It fits better that way, I believe.
