It's tiring to keep hearing comments about their relationship and "ego". The last record....er, disc...he put out was 5 songs - 4 of them were Lisa only vocals and 2 were her own compositions that would appear on her debut. That doesn't sound very egotistical to me.

And even if there was a bunch of trauma between them - that's actually a good thing for songwriting. What would Fleetwood Mac have become if the entire band wasn't sleeping with each other and breaking up? Trauma = good music.

I hate tom green 3 or is it 4 now? And Damien Rice is an amazing songwriter and performer and his partnership with Lisa Hannigan was brilliant. Her voice is ethereal and haunting, phenomenal, sadly her songwriting is both soporific and peppy to point that i feel like a schizophrenic.. Yes she needs Damien more then he needs her, but sadly i think the short span of this partnership will be the best thing musically either of them ever do. She is Garfunkel to his Simon.

@eshana1anam I respect your opinion, but I don't share it. After listening to 5 different songs by Lisa Hannigan with her new group, she seems lost. Without the sharp contrast with Damien's 's voice and the lack of the cello reveal her voice to be too soft and sweet to stand on its own. There is little diversity in her voice and phrasing, essential to better music. And for some reason, she even doesn't look nearly as beautiful now.
