Very good testing! This is an excellent forum. I can now say directly that for your voice the MXL 990 is best, better than röde. Sennheiser is best of the dynamic-mics. MXL 990.

Dank u voor de test. Ik ben van plan om een rode NT-4 te kopen. De bedoeling is om een (vleugel) piano op te nemen. Ik weet dat de microfoon met een batterij werkt. Dus er is geen fantoomvoeding nodig. Wat is uw advies geachte heer?

The 990 gets a bad rap, but it's a decent mic for <$50 US. I'm considering the NT1-A after seeing this though.

the nt1-a is so bright, and the at3035 has that great warm sound.

I suppose it depends what you'd be recording then. Maybe the NT1-A is better for percussive instruments then? I'd most likely be recording warm, acoustic instruments.....so if the AT3035 can pick that up better, maybe it's a better choice?

The MXL requires 48 volt phantom power to run. To get this you need a mixer or some kind of preamp that supplies phantom power.

if you want a true test of the Rode NT1A have a look at my test videos using it in the real world not a nice quiet studio ,if you like the sound in a worst case scenario,you will love it at home,i use it field portable ,not bad for the money..

Ik gebruik een M-Audio Fasttrack Pro met een laptop en ProTools 7.4. Op het moment gebruik ik mijn 13 jaar oude Sennheiser MD421 II. Die is fantastisch voor live maar voor opnemen ben ik op zoek naar een condensator mic. Die Rode NT1A lijkt mij wel wat.

Ik heb mijn CV installatie laten vervangen en alle ziekte en problemen spontaan weg.

Je raad het al: CO vergiftiging al die jaren lang...

Voor de rest lekker aan het contracten, momenteel bij Albert Heijn hoofdkantoor lekker in Zaandam (UNIX & Linux projecten).

Klassieke microfoon die MD421 II al decennia lang.

En inderdaad, die Rode NT1A is inmiddels ook een klassieker voor relatief weinig geld.

Ik probeer akoestisch gitaar en contrabas op te nemen via de pickup elementen en met een microfoon. Ik gebruik dus twee kanalen per instrument. Dat valt alleen niet mee om de verhouding goed te krijgen. De MD421 is best wel "bassig" maar dat krijg ik al uit de piezo pickups, dus ik moet een microfoon hebben met meer gevoeligheid in het hoge register. Vandaar...

ik las net dat verhaaltje over de TASCAM US-122L AUDIO INTERFACE.. maar hoe werkt dat dan in vergelijking met bv een Behringer XENYX 1002 mixer? Verder heb ik niet echt goede opnamekamer, dus is het dan wel verstandig om voor de rode te gaan..

De Behringer XENYX 1002 heeft volgens mij geen USB uitgang.

Om extra ruis te voorkomen is het belangrijk om zo snel mogelijk het microfoon signaal te converteren naar digitaal.

Vaak zijn analoge ingangen op laptops en computers van matige kwaliteit en dus is het belangrijk om een USB uitgang op de audio interface te hebben en dat heeft de TASCAM US-122L

I would definitely go for the Rode NT1A mic as that's the best professional mic for a very good price.

The Rode NT1A compares greatly to 600 Euro pro mics for a price less than 180 Euro's.

The Rode NT1A is fantastic microphone that you'll find in professional studio's all over the world.

You do need a USB audio interface with XLR connectors and 48 Volts phantom power, but I wouldn't go for a Behringer, but for the TASCAM US-122L AUDIO INTERFACE (155 Euro)

No problem at all amigo, I can perfectly understand your message.

Behringer is the type of microphone I usually avoid, because Behringer is known to produce more noise than it's competitors. I would go for a Rode NT1a because of great quality and a great price.

Most important is to go to the shop and try it (with a headphone) before you buy it (and if possible, compare it with other microphones on the same day)

De mics zijn gewoon universeel (XLR aansluiting).

Het is maar net wat je wilt opnemen, alleen geluiden van heel dichtbij zoals op het podium of op straat met een interview of echt alle geluiden dus zo zuiver mogelijk heel gevoelig dus en niet echt geschikt voor een live optreden wegens rond zingen.

That is the best choice my man, I just did a recording with it and every time I'm amazed by the mics purity.

It is just like that silk and transparent top quality you hear in the best songs coming out on TV, radio and CD.

Be aware that the g-track has USB and the MXL 990 XLR.

Rule of thumb is that 48V phantom powered XLR usually has better noise ratio and signal quality & sensitivity.

The USB mics from Samson are internally phantom powered and honest the C01U doesn't sound bad at all, but has a little noise.

If the g-track is like the C01U then get the MXL 990.

Throw in an extra couple of coins and you can have the world famous Rode NT1A.
