I went looking for this because today's IRL Long Beach GP was a real letdown...those cars are just not made to handle the mixed schedule they're expected to handle now. Beats all roundy-round, but I guess switching to the Panoz chassis that was actually designed for mixed venues...or...gasp...not having a spec chassis at all...would have made too much sense.

yes they were the days. Look at the crowds, the field. But Tony George had to "save" Indy Car. Asshole....
