It sounds nothing like the original because the strumming pattern is wrong and the "chop" is missing.

The chords are correct however. Use a capo to find the right key for your singing

The correct strumming pattern is : D . D U . U D U The " chop" is on the second D.

@Pfefferminze25 The "chop" is in the John Lennon version. Just play the song and stop sweating the details. If you want the original recording, then listen to that. Don't be a clone of studio recordings.  And if you want the "original", have a bass player.
