This comment has received too many negative votesshow
That is so inspiring. I want to take that to my martial arts training. As for abusive, the two cases I saw on the video I do not agree with in practice, however, most countries outside of the U.S. and Europe have that treatment of children to some extent. And for the tears, "The more you sweat in the training hall the less you cry on the battlefield".
every olympic gymnast, from every country has to work out hard.
but still, there is a difference between training methods in china and other countries. in china the coaches shout at kids, treat them like a piece of lifeless clay. the kids are only acceptable and lovable if they provide a high performance. even if they are not passionate about the sport, they need to do what their parents want them to do.
kids should be positively motivated and be treated well, regardless of their performance.

@DanceDancing23 Hay not all kids in the USA are like that. U talking about some people insulting China. U are no better you are doing the same thing to the USA. I seen some kids in China that are rude and becoming bulling other children. SO your facts are very wrong also There is 2 side of each story.
@DanceDancing23 what i was about to say. us dancers go through similar pains, too, im half chinese and in hong kong where i live all the chinese kids in my school work hard and make the most of their education whereas british kids spend their school day not paying attention and falling asleep in class (well, they play call of duty all night) and the reat of their time sitting on the couch and staring at the tv. the only place where i ctually see all girls work hard is my new school.

@kipcain64 Excuse me. YOU can shut up. I doubt your training for the Olympics, and if you are your probably not going to get in because this is what EVERYONE does
@lethalmitts21 Just because they work hard, strive to be the best, and are pushed, doesn't mean they're treated like garbage. They just have a very good work ethic, something kids here in the US serverly lack. US kids make their country look dumb and stupid, and they ill probably never be respected by whole country like these kids. Why don't you go whine and bitch about that?
Stop insulting China and their people. They work amazingly hard, which is probably why they beat the US.
I don't know about you guys, but did yall see anything abusive in this video? Cause I didn't... My coaches do the same thing (if not worse), and if they saw us crying we'd get called a bunch of girls (and by the way, our girls work harder than we do). If you're going to be an elite gymnast, you have to go through this... and it's a choice you make.
well of course it hurts to the point they're crying. im in gymnastics and its not just for fun. its a sport. just like football and baseball! you either try hard or go home. we have to do the same stretches. you cant stretch so far on your own. so they sit on you. they dont HAVE to. but i always ask my gymnastics coach if she can sit on my back to make me stretch more. you wouldnt get it if you're not in gymnastics.

it does take a significant effort to become a world class gymnast, the training is hard, and the coaches must push the contenders. That being said: All of this can be done with LOVE and RESPECT!

@LooseRivet2103 did i say the whole people is like that? NO. i am only talking about the people who do that, in both countries. they are abusive, it doesnt mean Chinese people or American people are abusive. and for my part, i am Inuit, and in my people we dont do pagents or intensive trainings. im not a hater or a racist so dont snap at me please.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
ok im in gymnastics so dont say it comes with being a gymnast this is not trying to insult Chinese or anything but these are CHILDREN and not only that no one should lay a finger on a child like that not even as a parent so y would u let a coach handle u like that ur body knows its strengths and weaknesses no one should decide that for u its simple as that if u put a force like that against a child that is the definition of child abuse LOOK IT UP!!!!!!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@sexyfreakantix and i get that some of these are just to help push ur body more but the coach shouldnt force it if the kids are crying let them decide stfu and stop
Why are they saying this is abusive? This isn't abusive. I mean, yes it's hard and intense training, but that's what's required to become great at a sport. And that's in any sport, not just gymnastics.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@AminoAcidTV most of it is not abusive but they can be rough. look at 1:29 to 1:59 . i used to have a coach like this and it turns out i am not made for gymnastics
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@AminoAcidTV I think the only bit that is actually abusive is when they pull the girl off the beam and the male coach makes the boy go into a bridge and kicks him. . the rest is what has to be done!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
This isn't hard work or discipline, this is force. The people working the place are PROOF of abuse. Is hitting a child not abuse, is forcing a child pain not abuse? And don't even say "THEY LOVE IT." They're sobbing. Why are all of you so ignorant? And stereotyping Americans as fat isn't helping anyone either. I understand that everyone has their own culture, but these children were BORN into it. They don't know what true culture even is yet because they're so young. So, seriously, shut up.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
This is somewhat abusive but also a part of discipline for them. This is the culture in China. Students, children pour their hearts, time and everything on what they will be doing in the future. They love it that's why they are doing it. It's the no pain no gain rule here. In China there are too many talented children so they must be ahead of the game to gain recognition.
But we're all human so of course when we see these crying children we'd want to give them a hug. I want to give them a hug.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@DanceDancing23 yes your 13 they are 5 and 6 they are still so young I know I have to go through the same pain as you but I am 13 too I am not 5 or 6 we are stronger then them
@TheHorselover107 You're probably not a gymnast. So you have NO idea what you're talking about.
I had to do theme same things when I was 3, 4, 5 ,6 and even now.
This isn't a game, and they do have fun sometimes, this video is just picking out the parts where they're crying.
They're training to be in the olympics, they're going to cry, and it's going to hurt sometimes. Just like many other olympic stars. How do you think they got there. Do you think there wasn't some pain?
@bunnysaysWOOF Exactly, these kids are training to be in the Olympics. They NEED this hard training. If they hold back on training just because it makes the kids cry sometimes, they'll never get anywhere.
if this is how do they treat thier own children then how do those dirty filthy ugly chinese treat the kids in Eastern Turkistan and Tibet? chinese are nothing but ugly dirty filthy animals.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@SultanUyghur wat a retard you are. im chinese myself and no were not dirty filthy animals. we work hard and that is maybe why we are very smart and good in sports. stop bitching on other cultures off of one video.

I agree with some of you saing "at least they're not fat" and that exercise is hard. But I've heard that these kids don't have a choice. They are forced to do this every single day and all day long. Taken from their parents (by their permissin, I guess). To me, this is almost comparable to child abuse.

if you think this is fair to these kids, ur crazy, yes sure in the world of gymnastics you should be pushed hard to achieve your goals, but now way in hell should a coah grab a child by their back, and force them backwards, not only is it dangerous to their spine, but it is classified as child abuse, these children were crying, a coach in this video deliberately kicked a child in the head, a few coaches were forcing them to do things that were painful to there bodies, i think this is cruel.

but still, there is a big difference between training methods in china and other countries. in china the coaches shout at kids, treat them like a piece of lifeless clay. the kids are only acceptable and lovable if they provide a high performance. even if they are not passionate about the sport, they need to do what their parents want them to do.

@DanceDancing23 Hay not all kids in the USA are like that. U talking about some people insulting China. U are no better you are doing the same thing to the USA. I seen some kids in China that are rude and becoming bulling other children. SO your facts are very wrong also There is 2 side of each story.

@dianemerq I never said it was a fact that ALL kids in the US are rude, or that ALL kids in China were hard working.

@DanceDancing23 if you love China so much then why dont you make a big deal in putting a stop in them killing their girls in China because they not boys. The States wouldn't go crazy in killing children because of their sex yet you talking crape about this country Nice very nice indeed backing up a country that goes around killing their females because they are to only have 1 child nice. Where is your respectful understanding & kindness there, HUH ?

@lethalmitts21 Just because they work hard, strive to be the best, and are pushed, doesn't mean they're treated like garbage. They just have a very good work ethic, something kids here in the US serverly lack. US kids make their country look dumb and stupid, and they ill probably never be respected by whole country like these kids. Why don't you go whine and bitch about that?
Stop insulting China and their people. They work amazingly hard, which is probably why they beat the US.

They're training for the olymics, were you training for the olympics, NO.
So of course it was easier for you. In case you didn't know, olymics is hard!
These kids are not getting treated badly. They're trying to get to the olymics and represent their county, the ultimate honor.
And by the way,THIS IS HOW THEY TRAIN EVERYWHERE!
Don't bitch about it just because it's in China. You had a fun childhood they have strong futures

well of course it hurts to the point they're crying. im in gymnastics and its not just for fun. its a sport. just like football and baseball! you either try hard or go home. we have to do the same stretches. you cant stretch so far on your own. so they sit on you. they dont HAVE to. but i always ask my gymnastics coach if she can sit on my back to make me stretch more. you wouldnt get it if you're not in gymnastics.
