Because the little face hugger things can sometimes spring out from a dead corpse' head and take over a new body, or just give you more problems to worry about as they crawl through the floor and ceilings and attack you from blind spots.

Hansen just pushes the button and BOOM, game's over. and 2) this may just be my copy, but I can only make one save file at a time. That's almost a broken statement since the RE puzzles were changed after Resident Evil 3.
CF has puzzles, but consisting of the same ' do this ' 'find this key' ' unlock this door' events of the original RE series, but doesn't have the over the top Umbrella-style conspired puzzles, like melting a portrait to get a key, or rotating a naked sculpture, etc. You're on a fucking whaling ship - none of that is going to make sense there. After that, an Oil Rig. Same deal. For CF, it works.
The fear factor/paranoia factor is always present. There are areas where enemies won't pop out until you've already walked halfway through the area. Sometimes the lights will flicker and nothing will happen. Other times you'll notice invisible footsteps coming toward you. And then again, the exocels will simply rush you like rabid dogs. It has in your face aggressive scares, and passive subliminal ones. If you can get it for PC though, get that version. It looks the best.
I agree whit you, this game beats RE4, RE4 is just an over rated piece of bullshit, I like ALL RE games (yes, even the first persons), but RE4 is not a RE game, I think it's on the same level of shitines than the movies, and is not horror in any way.

They didn't steal shit - both games were being developed at the same time, if not this game being developed even earlier than RE4. RE4 took longer to finish because Capcom was putting more money into it, marketing, and distribution.

You haven't seen anything, and therefore have an incomplete opinion. If you want to see enemies, see the videos I uploaded right after this one. There are about 8 of them, and they increase in intensity. As you progress through the game, you fight more types of exocels. Unlike RE4's mass ganados army, the exocels differ and resemble alien-like creatures that vary in shape and speed. Some are even invisible. You'll see some of them in the videos i've put up, so please re-examine them.
You're wrong on all accounts newbie; Cold Fear has ALL of the gameplay elements of RE4, and more. You have an extra camera mode, (which also means you have another aiming mode), you can strafe, you can melee attack while strafing, there are LOTS of enemies, which respawn all the time when you revisit areas, which means constant suspense AND action.
It's clear you've never really played the game, or a lot of people. If you can't make a real comparison, you just don't know how bad RE fails now.
To be completely honest, as a real ubiased gamer who doesn't get force-fed this publicity shit, this is a much better survival horror game than Resident Evil 4 is. The Ganados don't compare to the Exocels, and RE4's "invasion of the body snatchers" style story line doesn't beat out Cold's "The Thing" styled story. I've uploaded a lot of Cold Fear movies around the same time as this one, so there's already an abundance of evidence on how this game is true to the genre over RE4. Trust me.
This was one of my fave games on the ps2 :)

Resident 4 is better in the action gameplay..
Cold fear have realistic and more sharp graphics.
RE4 is more like an action movie, non stop shooter
Cold Fear is more like a suspense film, dont have much enemies or moves or guns....
Both are good.. just choose your style..
About the publicity thing.. is easy.. just ignore it and make your opinion playing the games.
