@xxvietbebe It seems that the leather gloves on bass origin is true but I recall a documentary that said it was a distorted recording of an old gate creaking open at Toho studios. The documentary was to promote an upcoming film, guess the gate behind the studios story sounds a lot cooler then gloves on a bass. Funny though, when you hear that iconic roar you can close your eyes and picture a giant and slightly rusty metal gate slowly opening.
