@thehoundsquad Basically Nausicaa and the Valley of the Wind. Most of the world is ruled by giant insects who demand sacrifices. The main character, Reco, has her village invaded and goes out to talk to the insects' god (who turns out to be a boy named Aki). She ends up killing him in self-defense, which pisses off his mother, Larsa. She attacks Reco's village again. Futari takes place as Reco and Palm (one of Larsa's sons) blow up everything on their way to stop Larsa.
