I am from Germany an every Day i go out on the baltic sea for a dive. There is no better music, when I am on the boat. Rough, harmonie, wild, adventure days.
The first version of this song that I heard was the Live at Royal Albert Hall one, which is much faster, and has the occasional whoop from a random person, so to me this one sounds kinda weird.
Steve's son is much better now. it will be three years befor the all clear but he has responded well to treatment. Thanks for all your support for both me and Steve.
Glad to hear that you like the song but i don't know if you know or not but steve is in a family crisis right now as his son is sick so i just like to ask if you could keep him in your thoughts and prayers thanks
yes yes we will but do u know wat is wrong with him this haz bean going on 4 mounths now and yes i love to and dont mean to sound ratty but wats wrong with him?
Steve Knightley's little boy has lukaemia - so his wife is always at the hospital with him, so Steve has to look after the rest of the family. The little lad's only six :-(
trobridge pump this year it was great i sat on the stage later i was sat on my lownsom and steve came over and talked but not about them or there music abouth outher bands and stupid stuf like that. Thanks guys :)
Why doesn't he just go to the Galway races? Would be much easier...

Great song! Great Music and great lyrics!

when i saw them in weymouth this summer, steve did a different version of the lyrics:
"and at the first... she fell."
he did carry on and finish the song, but it was still funny! :D

It's why they've canceled their tours.

I'll never forget the first time I saw Show of Hands live. It was at the Greenbelt festival, held at Cheltenham racecourse.
Their first time there.
Imagine what the encore was!!
The Galway farmer played at Cheltenham and I was there.
Thankyou so much for a memory I will treasure all my life.
