This is so beautiful! Toba the Tura was more than just perfect! Everyone in this is more than perfect! I love the emotion you guys show and your voices are just beautiful. <3
..... i am so sorry but the guy who did Danny Stevens part (from the audition) during "the oracle" upset me greatly. there was no power in his voice and instead of adding vibrato where it could have been used perfectly.... it just flattened and had no voice :/ this play is the best i have seen yet by far though :)
This is my fav part of the album, Max Bemis from my fav band say anything and Chris conely from saves the day, but my god the actor just NAILED ahrima's character his voice is out of this world. I wish these were the type a videos that got a million views on you tube not cats ...
I really love that the narrator is right there with the characters, and that he doesn't have a book or anything to fall back on for memorization. Impressive.
im sooooo impressed with The Spider and The Lamps! its one of my favorites and you did such a good job especially with the concept for barias! PERFECT!
Hands down the best portrayal of this album I've ever found, and it's my favorite. Toba the Turas number was powerful, Barias was sly, the take on the Doctor was completely different from what I could have imagined but I loved it, and the Kings number... Well I was laughing very hard during that one. And the vocals for all were fantastic. definitely going to watch this often!!!
The Oracle - Dave Destro completely wowed me. This is my FAVORITE song out of the entire show, and whenever he was singing, I was like, "Oh, they're just letting the track play?" Then I realized it was him singing. I have never heard anyone with a voice that close to the original track! Fantastic! Also, the idea of Ahrima delivering the prophecy was awesome. I kinda teared up at the part whenever Ahrima and Nidra were singing. It was beautiful! O was the same, not better or worse.
Toba the Tura - I've never been a fan of this scene in any of the productions I've watched, including the one I was in. Your costumes were impressive, and the vocals were great. What REALLY got me though was when Ahrima started going, "OH! What have I done!" Gave me chills.
The Spider and the Lamps - I am in LOVE with how you did this. I was like, "I really hope they don't dress him up in a costume with 8 arms and legs just hanging there limply." I have NEVER seen anyone do this scene like this. Your director was a genius! For the dancers and Dan Berman, good job! He was a little shout-y at parts, but overall, it was a pleasing performance.
three Daves in the cast haha! :D

This is a great production, but I would have given the narrator a costume as well.

Ah, brilliant!
Loved the little growl in "arrogance". Loved Tora The Tura and how the director portrayed the spider. Amazing.

The only good production of Razia's Shadow by far.

This version of Toba The Tura was perhaps that most fantastic thing I've ever seen ever. I cried.
