  • how much is it ????? Where did you buy it ??? I'm Finding A Cheap One Now !

  • $1010 is m1.$1040 in singtel

  • SINGERPOOR

  • SHINGAHPOOR !

  • god....you sound very sexy :D

  • @65bits

hey, great video and amazing phone!

I'm going to Singapore in a couple of days

and I was wondering how much the iPhone is without the phone plan.

    R.S.V.P Thanks!

  • the iphone 3gs 16gb: $1024 without contract

    32gb: $1240 without contract

  • somehow i ever found original iphones 3gs 32gb sold in $350 or $400 and they said it's original from apple, not from some crappy china made. well i dont understand why it is so cheap. is it really that cheap or it's just people to blackmail others, taking their money away?

  • Excellent unboxing of the iphone3gs. Because i hardly hear singaporeans speaking good english.

  • i will be going to singapore next week.. just wanna ask how much is an iphone 3gs now in singapore?

  • I'm assuming you will be getting this without a contract. The iPhone is only sold unofficially without a contract, so the prices are not fixed. As I've advised several others here, you can visit mobilesquare [.] com [.] sg and check "new phones for sale" > "apple". As of today, the 16GB is S$978 and 32GB is S$1138.

  • yes you're correct i will be getting one without a contract coz i wont be able to use it anyway. thanks for the site i find it very useful. cant wait to see singapore next week :)

  • nice

  • can anyone tell me the price of iphone

3gs without the contract in singapore

    thx

  • Try visiting mobilesquare [.] com [.] sg and looking for the iPhone 3GS there. They're usually where you can go to find the prices of most phones without contract in Singapore.

  • @65bits then i can use prepaid card on iphone 3gs??

  • Yes you can, though the pre-paid card would not have data (internet) so you'll only be able to use the data apps (such as maps, facebook, email, web browser etc) when you're near WiFi hotspots.

  • dude this video is amazing, great picture

  • Your reaction towards the wall plug was epic.

  • lol i should have bought the iphone instead of LG Arena having so much problem with the lcd it is already the 5th month since i bought it and i have send it for repair 6th times...

  • is there a place can buy iphone without contract or line in sg

  • You can try mobilesquare [.] com [.] sg

  • lol how much it cost? now

  • If you take a look at that website and check "new phones for sale" > "apple", the 16GB is S$1118 and 32GB is S$1298.

  • this is total rip off lol singapore iphone suck lol america only sell $199USD cheaper totally more

  • But in the US $199 is if you sign with a 2 year contract. The price you asked me was for without contract. Mine costs only S$450 with contract.

For one thing, the contract plan in the USA costs more than ours, plus their phones are locked. The plans in Singapore are significantly cheaper and our phones are not locked at all. The higher price here is justified. In the long run, we actually spend less than if you were to buy one in USA

  • no 199bucks is without contract and wad you mean lock??

  • I think you missed out the fine print on the Apple Store next to the US$199, because if you read it, it says "(2) Requires new two-year AT&T wireless service contract,". If you found an iPhone 3GS in the US selling for US$199 elsewhere without contract, I urge you to buy it immediately!!

A locked phone is a phone that will only work with the sim card that was provided. For example, if Singtel locked the iPhone, only Singtel SIM cards will work. M1, Starhub SIM cards will not work.

  • Cool lol i think i saw wrongly

  • lol haha so good i cant wait i bought mine also from singtel and its coming this thursday

and one moire ting to say

"HEY BRO WHY YOU BUY SO EARLY NEXT YEAR M1 COMMING OUT FOR IPHONE LEH THEN SINGTEL WILL SELL SO ULTRA CHEAP"

    wasted la

  • if you saw my previous phone you'll know why I bought this as soon as I can... :P

  • lol you got so many video i cant find la

anyway good luck with your iphone

  • nah that plug wasnt in the old one, it was the "good old" fat ipod charger. Oh and yes i had the same Wow feeling, they reduced the size.

  • Hi what's the current price now? for IPHONE 3GS~

  • erm if the 500 mb local data for iflexi lite free for the firs month or free till u cancle the line? pls

  • It's not "free" it's bundled, like how you have 100 minutes 500 sms bundled. It's part of your line as long as you stay with that plan, within the contract or not.

  • Does the 32GB differ a lot from the 16GB? I'm using a 16GB iPhone 3G but i can't even fill half of it. Probably only a quarter. Should I get the 16GB 3GS in order to save money or get the 32GB for it's prestige? Honestly speaking, I would go for 32GB if possible but it feels like the extra 16GB is more of for show only.

  • No there is absolutely no difference apart from price and memory capacity. I recommend you go with the 16GB, as the 32GB gives you no benefits at all. Since you can't even fill up 16GBs, it's pointless to spend that extra for 32GB.

I wouldn't even call it "for show", since that 32GB label is so tiny anyway, and they look completely identical, no one but you will know.

  • cool video

  • by the way can anyone tell me,

can you use an iphone with m1 or starhub plan instead of singtel?

  • Yes you can, if you bought the iPhone 3G or iPhone 3GS in Singapore, as the official phones sold here are unlocked.

  • hey your video is on 10th july but i bought iphones only came out on 23 aug or smth for singapore. how did you get your iphone wayyy before the release date?

  • Uh, no... The iPhone 3GS was launched in Singapore on the 10th July 2009... 23 August was the iPhone 3G back in 2008.

  • hey bro what video cam are you using to record the video ?

  • It was a Sanyo Xacti HD1000

  • You have to pay for internet usage? Cant we just connect to Wireless@SG and surf for free? i mean, if it works on notebooks and PSPs it should work on smart phones too ya??

  • Wireless@SG isn't everywhere, and isn't as stable as 3G data. If you want to use internet often on the iPhone, you need to get a data plan that you need to pay for.

  • Comment removed

  • Erm are u saying that u can only get the first month free or?? Thanks

  • You first say that you are at Singapore. Then you get a Chinese manual. Soon after, you've got a UK wall plug! Can please tell me what country you were in when you took this video.

  • I guess it's time you got to learn something about Singapore today then...

All products sold in Singapore come with English and Chinese manuals... And Singapore uses the UK wall plug. You really should come visit Singapore one day, I bet there's lots more about this country you don't know. And no, Singapore is not in China.

  • hi just want to ask how is singapore just want to know?

  • erm if i use a flexi lite contact the 512 mb thingy , how long could it last if i just use it to surf the net and watch videos occationally

or you thing it is more worth to get an iTwo plus plan?

  • I use the iFlexi Lite and check my email (to answer your questions ect), twitter and surf the web heavily, and I didn't exceed 200mb during my first month. I don't watch youtube videos though.

  • so say I decide to buy an iPhone in Singapore, do I have to be assigned with the contract that you mention?

  • hey ya! just to compare price of iPhone in different countries, how much is an iPhone 3GS in Singapore? and is it unlocked? thanks btw :)

  • It's unlocked, and the prices range from S$0 to S$678 on a new contract, depending on the capacity and the monthly subscription fee.

  • the phone without a contract..

  • You can't buy it officially without a contract, but I saw mobilesquare (.) com (.) sg selling the 32GB at S$1508.00

  • how much is the iphone 3gs in singapore..? please answer..:D

  • lol. I kept re-watching this video for your reaction to the charger xD. It is pretty darn small though - at least in comparison to the phone I've gotten from Singapore...

  • Hi Daniel

I am contemplating to upgrade to a 3Gs or not...for that matter Singtel charges $300 for early upgrade & trade in for 16GB 3G worth $400. Ultimately say if I intend to get a 32GB 3Gs ($678), I'll still need to pay $338. What's your advice? Thanks

  • My advice is actually not to upgrade just because it's the newest and the coolest. Sure, there is a performance improvement, but are you having problems with its current performance? The only other worthy upgrade is the camera and the video recording capabilities. But remember you are paying quite a bit for these upgrades.

  • My suggestion is that unless it's really necessary, why not wait for next year? This iphone is more like a version 2.5 (if you consider the iPhone 3G as v2), and the next version is probably the one with major improvements. Then you don't even have to worry about that silly early upgrade fee.

  • Thanks Daniel for your evaluation! I guess I can live without the video & camera function! With the new software 3.0 at least now I can forward SMS, MMS, cut, copy & paste! Which are what I yearned for! :p

  • Hello 65bits, im also from singapore. may i just ask if we can already send pics, vids via bluetooth to other mobile devices (nokia, sony ericcson, samsung, etc) given we now have 3GS version? I'm torn between iphone and samsung jet/omnia hd at the moment. Is is possible we can use a 3rd party bluetooth headset for music as well. I know you're the right person to ask so please help me!!

  • Hi there, no it's still not possible, and I doubt it will happen any time soon. Apple doesn't really care about compatibility with other mobile phones.

However, you can use a 3rd party stereo bluetooth headset for music with the iPhone 3GS, as well as the iPod Touch 2G and the iPhone 3G if they are using the new iPhone 3.0 software. Do check to see if it's compatible though. Not all bluetooth headsets work with all phones and vice versa.

  • Great review :)

But how can u be amazed by that huge power plug? I think its enormous compared to the u.s. version and the scandinavian version, but anyways.. iPhone 3GS 32 gb ftw :)

  • That's why I'm amazed, because it's not the US version, I didn't expect Apple to care and actually custom design one for the European market! Based on the huge plugs for our market, this is really small!

  • Okay, I see, yeah, they care about every little detail, thats whats so great about them :)

  • hey, if you have iphone 3g, can u change to iphone 3gs? please reply.... thanks

  • Yes you can, but the information with regards to that isn't very clear. It's best that you call your service provider for more information

  • yes! its overdone.. but who cares?? haha. nice vid.

  • i no.who cares.out of them,urs is the best

  • wat r the preloaded apps in it?

  • You should check out the apple (.) com website for details of all the apps that comes with the phone. They're not really pre-loaded apps, they're kinda system apps. You can't remove them.

Other than the usual calendar, email, address book, alarm clock, sms, ipod etc, there's a calculator, weather, youtube, stocks, maps, compass, and Nike+

  • pls do a personal(non-product) review! perhaps after you used it for a week or so

  • How do you define personal, non-product review? :P

  • are there any promotions for it in spore

  • If you get it during the launch period, which ends on Sunday the 12th, there are some promotions

  • nice video!!
