He don't know what bad service is plus if he talks to people like he does type about them which I doubt most keyboard warriors are that way because they are pathetic. When somebody comes to work on your service and they spend more time dealing with a dumbass customer you will not get the best out of the technician. Its common sense.Plus he states that his service is crystal cleal now so how can it suck?Maybe the techs sucked but if the service itself is "crystal clear" how can that suck?
I'm a comcast customer service rep. I cant tell you how many times some idiot customer called me and told me his tv is doing this, and I'd tell the idiot to tighten the connections on box and wall that his idiot kids prob tampered with playn there game systems after which the pixals or tiling as we call it went away. Comcast doesnt have bad customer service, just bad customers
Having the same problem with pixelation but only happens on certain channels late at night(after 11pm). Also my cable internet works perfect. Will try resetting box as Comcast website suggests!
no offense but I'm a comcast tech and you guys who hate comcast are retarted!!! Nothing better describes you, you know nothing about fiber lines or mer or ber or snr or dbmv or transmit or....anything!!! but you talk like you know everything!!! Bwaaahaaahaaa!!! Comcast is one of the best companies around!! DSL is offering 6 mega BITS per second, where we offer up to 50 mega BITS per second, so everybody should calm down because they probly have shitty wiring and fittings!!!!!
@imacomputer101 see what i mean!!! You know nothing!!! you don't get a "snowy" picture on a digital signal. That would be an anolog signal your referring to, like ghosting and snowy/fuzzy picture. analog doesn't tile or pixelate either. So you prove my point to the T!!! okay so that tiling you c on the vid is either low signal, bad lines, or bad cable box, 95% chance nothing to do with the t.v. itself.
Comcast better get them self togetter. Dam I fill vary bad for anyone that loves playing online games like World of Warcraft or just coming home to enjoy some tv & have to put up with the Laging comcast can't seem to even fix. dam I say burn down comcast & get some one to build you guys a cox service they the best. who every owns comcast seems to only be in it for the money:-( Comcasts owes you all for having to put up with poor internet & cable in usa:-( how upseting.
hey i have comcast hd box and i just set it up and now i have a green line that goes all the way down on the right side and the top of it is a little fuzzy do you know what might be wrong any help is needed
our tv used to do that and NBC HD didnt even WORK during the OLYMPICS. my dad was so mad b/c he got a 2grand lcd tv and half the channels didn't work. When comcast then came, they basically wired from our neighbors home and left the wire out in our yard. They said they'd come clean it up but they never came. The HD tv works but it SUCKS. It looks pixelated up close and its not the tv itself. Movies/games look great in any setting but once it's on hd it looks only slightly better than regular tv.
this shit sucks bad i cant even play online on my ps3 or my wii i had yahoo dsl and it workt just fine the tv cable is ok not better then dish and the phone network i dont even know why my famaly got that evry one uses ther cell phones ...... I HATE COMCAST INTERNET I MISS PLAYING MARIO KART ONLINE
comcast has a very bad signal and even with hdmi the picture is degraded soo people dont even waste your time with comcast..its just a big scam for your money.
Comcast is coo for the ON DEMAND stuff and all, but that freezing shit it always pisses me off. What i do is pull on the cords and smash the box and that sometimes works.
yeah thats a good idea dumb ass. of your pic is breaking up you prolly need your house lines upgraded or bad fittings and splitters or noise in your lines or outside, good god have some one come out to trouble shoot and fix the problem.WTF!!!!!!!!!
I pay $60 per month for their bundle package, biggest waste of money. The first cable box they installed stopped working after just a day. They gave me a replacement which is a fucking joke; its a puny little thing that doesn't even have a power button. And their on-demand ALWAYS freezes and crashes on me.
The cable internet is suppose to be up to 6 mb, BULLSHIT! My old netzero DSL was faster! I just wish I didn't sign a year contract. That's how they get you
Techs have been to my house so many times. My cable is still unwatchable 6 months later. The only person to blame here is myself for letting these retards jerk me around for so long.
We moved TV in the living room and had to remove a 18' length of cable **THAT WAS CHECKED 6 TIMES BY 6 DIFFRENT TECHS** and everthing is crystal clear.
A single LOOSE CONNECTOR will cause intermittent digital pixelation exactly like what is seen in the video. When a connector nut is loose, there is intermittent ground contact at best. Loss of ground contact causes pixelation, so make sure all of the connectors inside your home are tight.
amps are shit... the only reason you should have an amp is if you've got like 8 TV's... and even then, running a second drop would be better than installing an amp
There's no point to an RF Filter. Matter of fact anything you purchase 3rd party will most likely just interfere with the signal strength and cause some grief. Judging by the video alone it's most likely a signal issue and most likely very fixable. Could be something as simple as the line being split too many times or even a bad fitting somewhere or even a loose fitting somewhere. Or a bad splitter somewhere which is very common.
why is there an RF filter on your box? 3 techs would not have left that. not good ones anyways. are you sure theres nothing in your house interfering with your signal? like a t.v backfeeding power.... if it is on comcast side people need to remember theres thousands of feet of cable and hundreds of amps and splitters to maintain. everything is not always an easy fix. theres so many things that could go wrong. im not going to get into it all because you probably wont understand it.
a splitter is completely different then an rf filter. if your picture got better when you removed it then it sounds like a signal issue that needs to be addressed
you have a signal issue, this is not comcasts fault, the wiring in your house is crap, just dont be rude to the technicians and they will try to help you, this is how it usually works with service people, the second they sense that you are being rude they will stop trying. Tell them to be frank and tell you if you need to run a new line or not, if you do need a new line comcast does it cheap, 20 bucks i think, cant beat that deal
On one of the many visits by technicians they replaces all the cable from the pole to my box.
Funny thing is out of curiosity I removed the RF Filter that is on the box... this GREATLY reduced the pixilation and sound skipping to the point where we could watch the damn thing.
At any rate we will be leaving comcast for Direct TV.
To Comcast: You just lost yet another customer due to your worthless hardware.
Actually they're better, I had to switch from DirecTV to Comcast when I moved. They have better service overall. Wish I could get them... Damn lease restriction and Comcast being the only cable provider... X(
Go ahead and try and get tech support from any dish provider. I work in cable and our turn around time is usually pretty fast. I know of one person who happens to be 78 years old who called direct tv for support and they asked her to go out onto her roof and tap the dish so it could realign the line of sight... lmao

Most likely a loose F-connector. A single connector even slightly loose will cause tiling like shown in the video.
trandyblunt 1 year ago
@Kreggsy6
Or LOOSE FITTING(S). Even Comcast approved fittings installed perfectly can cause tiling if they are not fully tightened.
